Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1495

Jeffery had wanted to reset everything and create a perfect, happy world.

But there was no guarantee everyone would be happy. If those unhappy ones wanted to start over, then the world would be in an endless cycle.

Human desire had no limits. Once someone got one thing, they'd want more.

Debra shook her head. "I was just talking nonsense. We can't reset the world."

"Yeah." Marion nodded. "Meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me."

"Me too," Debra smiled.

...

Late at night, Debra was fast asleep.

Marion looked at her for a while before quietly getting dressed and heading downstairs.

His men had been waiting in the courtyard. As soon as he stepped out, one of them approached.

"Sir, we've checked everything. Over the past month, Mr. Lowe didn't go anywhere. He picked up a package in Orkgate and went straight back to Seamar City. No solo meetings with anyone."

"Got it."

He knew Drake couldn't pull something like this off. That package had to have come from Andrew.

"Any word on Andrew?"

"Eh, you know how he is, sir. If he doesn't want to be found, there's no way we can find him."

They had been searching all day, tracking down every possible safe house Andrew might have overseas.

They'd found seven or eight, but there was no sign of him whatsoever. Presumably, he had laid out a false trail from the start.
