Lillian and Solomon slipped out of the house. School was usually out now, but the kidnapping case had let them leave early.

This was prime time for vendors to lurk near campus.

"Hurry!" Lillian urged him.

Solomon shifted uncomfortably. "If you're investigating, do it openly. Sneaking around just makes you look suspicious."

He grabbed her collar and lifted her like a kitten.

Passersby stared suspiciously. Clad in their school uniforms, the two were skulking outside the school gate, looking every bit like troublemakers trying to skip class.

"What're those two doing?"
