Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1853

A maid approached. "Miss Frazier, the guest rooms are on the second floor."

"Cool." Debra followed the maid through the maze.

Every concern of the villa sparked her high schooler wonder.

Juan trailed behind, watching her with a faint smile. It was all worth it if he could make her happy.

"I'll take this one. It's big and pretty," Debra said, picking a room.

Juan froze, and so did the maid. She quickly explained, "That's Mr. Nichols' room."

Debra blinked. "No way, our tastes are that similar? I knew this one was the best."

"No big deal," Juan said. "If you like it, it's yours."

"Thanks." She stepped inside and flopped onto the imported bed.

It was big and plush. Lying on it, she felt good.

"Get her some warm milk," Juan told the maid.

"How do you know I like warm milk before bed?" Debra asked.

"Most girls do," he stammered.

She was skeptical but chose not to dwell on it, given his sweetness. She knew he had snooped. Knocking her habits didn't come as a shock.

"Go on and sleep. I've got work," he said, turning to leave.

She sat up, calling after him, "Hold up. With all these people around, do you have a tutor or something?"

"I was in a meeting for two hours, and you only finished one? Now you're asking me for help?"

She laughed sheepishly, "But if I don't finish, the teacher is gonna rip into me tomorrow. You don't want your fiancée to get chewed out for not doing homework, right? It would look bad for you."

"So, you know it would look bad, huh?"

"Duh."

"Then get to it. No sleep until it's done," he said, walking out.

Debra complained about his pettiness, suddenly getting why the girl he liked had chosen to ditch him.

Dealing with people like that was tough.
