Frustrated, Debra ordered him to douse himself in the fountain and cry for mercy.
Marion gritted his teeth but did it. He just didn't get why Andrew spoiled her so much. She was out of control.
Soaked and humiliated, Marion returned.
If anyone else tried this, they'd be dead by dawn. Debra was an exception.
He showered, washing off the day. A voice echoed, "Marion, wake up. You've got 30 minutes left."
He dunked his head in the tub, trying to drown the hallucination. It wouldn't stop.
Late at night, he stepped out, shirtless. A towel was wrapped around his neck.
His phone rang, and he answered coldly, "Talk."
Andrew chuckled, "Mad?"
"What do you think? You can spoil your fiancée. Just leave me out."
"Debra is a handful. Do me a favor and take her to the amusement park."
"No," Marion refused, hanging up.
Soon, Andrew texted a time and address.
Marion rubbed his temples, annoyed. Andrew always acted like he had everyone pegged.
That day, Marion waited outside the Frazier Mansion.
Debra looked excited about the trip, but her face fell at the sight of him.
