The wedding day arrived.
Erica hadn't slept since 2 a.m. Luckily, Debra had been there with her.
She panicked. "What should I do? I've never been married. You've done this. Tell me how to not screw it up."
"Uh... Let's start with the dress," Debra said. "Has it arrived?"
"Right. The dress." Erica quickly dialed the security team.
Debra nodded. "This is a good start. Then just take it step by step."
But when the dress arrived, she froze. It was a short wedding dress with white shorts as the lining.
She blinked, then handed it to Erica. "What is going on with this?"
"Oh, that? I figured, if I change my mind at the wedding, it's easier to bolt in this."
"Bolt?"
She knew Erica was nervous, but planning an escape? That was next-level.
Erica fidgeted. "Is this bad? Should I not wear it? I had a master custom-make it."
"You're not seriously planning to ditch your wedding, are you?" Debra rubbed her forehead.
