Their Queen Returns novel Chapter 145

Nora stood there, speechless. Seriously? Are you two ever going to ask for my opinion? Ethan is still my husband, you know. Well, soon–to–be ex- husband, but still… she thought rolling her eyes.

“Sienna, let’s have a toast. This wine’s pretty good,” Wayne said, raising his glass.

“Sure,” Sienna replied, picking up her glass. But just as she was about to take a sip, someone snatched it out of her hand and slammed it down on the table.

“You’ll drink with just anyone, huh? And here I thought you were a famous entrepreneur in Vallaris. Looks like your reputation doesn’t really match up, Winifred said, lounging on the nearby sofa with her legs crossed.

Nora and Wayne were both caught off guard by the sudden appearance of the girl. They had no idea when she had come in

Sienna glanced over at her. “They’re my friends, Wayne, Nora This is my sister, Winifred.”

Nora stood up and leaned in for a closer look. Winifred’s eyes were almost identical to Sienna’s, though her expression was a little different

After Sienna’s accident, Nora had tried reaching out to her sisters, hoping she could look after them in Sienna’s place. But none of them appreciated it, and one by one, they all left the Hart residence.

“I need to talk to you,” Winifred said, casually admiring her black–purple nails. The message was clear–she wanted everyone else to leave, and Wayne immediately understood.

He stood up. “Sienna, I’ll take Nora home first. You two go ahead and chat,” he said, nodding toward Nora.

Nora wanted to stay, her eyes fixed on Sienna but Sienna shook her head. “You should go home. Wayne’s not trying to stop you from having fun, but he’s just worried that any gossip might mess with your divorce right now.”

“Okay,” Nora muttered, rolling her eyes. As if Wayne’s really doing this for me. He’s obviously just jealous. He can’t stand seeing me hanging out with Enna What does he even have to do with Enna? Who gave him the right to be jealous, huh?”

“Winifred, what do you want to say to me?” Sienna asked, ruming her attention to her sister.

Now that it was just the two of them in the private room. Sienna glanced at Winifred Winifred was always so headstrong–there were some things Sienna just couldn’t get involved in.

“Here’s 2 million dollars, Winifred said, placing a check in front of her. “Consider this me paying back your favor. From now on, we’re done.”

Winifred knew Sienna didn’t need the money, but she just couldn’t stand owing anyone anything,

Sienna fel a pang in her heart. It seemed that Winifred still couldn’t forgive her. “Winifred, I’m your sister!” Sienna called out, her voice shaking with emotion.

“No, you’re non You’re a liar—a total liar!” Winifred shot back, her eyes rimmed red as she yelled at her.

Sienna’s heart broke. Of all her sisters, Winifred had always been the quietest. She never liked being around people, always preferred cold–blooded animals, and most kids just thought she was strange–no one wanted to play with her at school.

She might have seemed the least dependent, but in truth, she was the one who relied on Sienna the most.

Sienna tried to explain, her voice shaking. “Winifred, when I left back then, I never thought anything bad would happen. I lost my memory, and as soon as I remembered everything. I came back to find you all 1…“

“Save it! I don’t want to hear any of your excuses!” Winifred shot back, her voice trembling with anger. Without another word, she strode out of the
