When Vivian accepted his friend request, Nathan was practically jumping for joy. He never expected her to actually accept.

Vivian cut right to the chase. [Who are you?]

Nathan: [Hello, Miss Hart. This is Nathan Winslow. We met at the business conference last time. Do you remember me?]

Vivian paused, but she had absolutely no memory of this guy. [What do you want?]

He kept trying to friend her, so he was definitely up to something.

Her head was spinning with a million questions–why did Sienna have a tattoo, and why did it look so professional? Had she actually worked as a tattoo artist before?

Did Vivian really have a good life during those ten years abroad?‘ Winifred couldn’t help but worry ever since she heard Sienna had only stayed away because of amnesia.

‘How did she get through it all? Why can’t I find any trace of her past? Did she maybe start a family over there?‘ The more Winifred thought about it, the more restless she felt.

All of it was like a tangled mystery, trapping her in endless questions she couldn’t escape.

She gently traced the cosmos flower tattooed on her arm, and right on cue, the little snake slithered out and curled itself around the flower, like that spot had always been made just for it–it fit so naturally, it was almost uncanny.

When morning came, Amber woke up with her hair sticking out in every direction, still rattled from the nightmare she’d had last night. She’d actually dreamed about that witch Winifred.

“I’m heading to school, Sienna,” she called out.

“Alright, have a good day,” Sienna replied, glancing at her schedule for the afternoon, when Lana said, “Miss Enna, Mr. Bayer will be coming by this afternoon. Do you want us to prepare anything?”

Lana knew that Calvin was Sienna’s uncle. Over thirty years ago, Selina had completely cut ties with the Bayer family, but the exact reason was still a mystery to her.

Sienna paused for a moment, her mind flashing with images of the Bayer family. ‘Mom, you hated the Bayer family for so many years. Now that I finally know the whole truth, I understand why you took your own life.

I don’t blame you.

But Morn, when you left everything behind, did you ever think about what would become of me?”

Sienna felt as if a pair of invisible hands were squeezing her heart, making it almost impossible to breathe.
