Chapter 202
Calvin skimmed through the list of Leo’s deeds. The items included fake meds, organ harvesting, blood draws, and experimental procedures, all dressed up as treatments for him.
Calvin’s eyes went wide in disbelief. ‘How could he… I thought he was just a little selfish. This is way beyond selfishness now. If this ever gets out, I’ll be the one everyone spits on.
‘He made others think that I would stop at nothing to cure my legs, even sacrificing others‘ lives… Calvin thought, gasping for breath.
He’d trusted Leo more than anyone, and now he realized Leo had been skimming, switching, and selling off his meds. No wonder my leg never got any better all these years.
Calvin lowered his head in defeat, eyes blazing with anger and hatred for his own blindness, for letting a wolf into his home. He had no one to blame but himself.
“Sienna, I misjudged him. I’m sorry, this is all on me…”
‘The ZS serum was a token of Sienna’s goodwill, yet he…‘ thought Calvin.
“Uncle, this really isn’t your fault. The one to blame is Leo. He’s cold–blooded and scheming. You don’t need to carry the weight of his crimes. What matters now is making sure Leo pays for what he’s done. “Whether you want to call the police or not, that’s entirely up to you,” Sienna said.
Her words were gentle yet carried a quiet strength, striking straight to the heart.
Calvin couldn’t let a scumbag like Leo get away with this. He nodded, determination in his eyes. “I’m calling the police, Sienna. He has to pay for what he’s done. By the way, Josef said he was going to find Leo and get the ZS serum back, but I’m sure he didn’t succeed.”
Sienna’s lashes fluttered as she stood up and glanced back. A man in a suit, about thirty years old, was walking over.
“Uncle, I actually have something to take care of over there, so I’ll stop by and let Josef know on the way. You just rest. Don’t worry about the ZS serum. This doctor is someone I trust, and he’s here for you. I’ve brought you a new dose of the ZS serum, so let him give you the injection. Once your body is ready for surgery, I’ll personally make all the arrangements,” Sienna said.
As Sienna finished speaking, she felt as if a huge weight had finally been lifted from her heart. These were words she should have spoken ten years ago.
Sienna took the file on Leo, her features icy and her demeanor detached. Her gaze landed on Leo’s photo, a dangerous glint flashing in her eyes.
