Chapter 222
“My side businesses still bring in a few million every month, even if I just sit back and do nothing, so I just take it easy. I’m not really after anything big in life.
Vivian was speechless. ‘No wonder he’s so terrified of getting caught up in th
this mess, she thought. ‘Hundreds of millions, seriously? Who wouldn’t be freaking out with that much on the line?”
ait a sec, isn’t this guy supposed to be a total playboy? Always chasing girls and living it up. Shouldn’t he be burning through cash like crazy? Vivian couldn’t help but wonder.
“How did you manage to save up so much? Vivian asked, her curiosity getting the better of her.
Nathan perked up the moment she asked. He looked genuinely eager to spill his money–making secrets.
Nathan said. “I make extra cash by hanging out with rich ladies and heiresses. I’m basically their go–to guy. Coffee ceremonies, chess, dancing, piano, ballet, and even giving them advice when they’re heartbroken.
There isn’t a single talent I can’t pull off. It’s easy for me to make tens of thousands, sometimes even hundreds of thousands, in one go. They’re super generous. Sometimes, just taking off my jacket gets me 300 thousand.”
Vivian was speechless. “Where do you even find gigs like that? I’d love to just take off my jacket for that kind of money, she thought.
Seeing Vivian’s stunned look, Nathan quickly added, “Just so you know, I sell my skills, not my body.
“Don’t get the wrong idea. Most of my clothes are gifts from them. I wouldn’t dream of buying them myself. A single outfit can easily cost tens of thousands.”
Vivian couldn’t help but quirk a smile. For some reason, she suddenly found herself kind of admiring Nathan.
For a rich heir to live like this was refreshingly unconventional, almost eccentric.
Rumor painted Henry as the ultimate playboy, swapping girlfriends daily. The truth was the women weren’t his roys. He was theirs.
“So, why did you add me on WhatsApp back then?” Vivian asked.
Nathan just shrugged. At this point, he might as well be straight with her. There was nothing to hide.
“You were actually the first girl I ever liked. It was love at first sight for me. But honestly, when I compare you to my money, well, you just don’t quite measure up.” he said, not bothering to sugarcoat it.
Vivian was speechless. Honestly, I really am not worth that kind of money, she thought.
Nathan looked at her in silence, a hint of disappointment flickering in his eyes
How could she not matter? She’s the only girl I’ve ever wanted to spend my life with, the only one I’d ever want to share everything L have with and enjoy the rest of my days together, he thought.
But Nathan knew the gap between them was just too big. With that rotten reputation of his, he didn’t even deserve her, especially after what the Winslow family did.
“I’m going to ask one more time. Where is Miss Vivian?” Reno’s voice cut through the air like ice.
