Chapter 237
Before Thorn could finish, Sienna snapped his hand with a brutal crack. Standing there in her slippers, eyes full of murderous intent, she ordered coldly, “Dump him in the trash can.”
“Yes, Miss Sienna, the bodyguard replied immediately.
Sienna spent the night fending Thom off and showed up at school sporting two dark, puffy circles under her eyes.
Meanwhile, Amber was practically bouncing with excitement in her pink and white dress as she dragged Sienna along to the parent- teacher meeting.
The moment Sienna walked into the classroom, everyone was completely stunned.
“Damn, she’s gorgeous. So classy too, they all thought. “Wait, is she really here for Amber?”
Amber practically had her chin in the air, proudly clinging to Sienna’s arm as
if to
This is my sister.
The teacher singled out Amber for her incredible progress. Amber walked up to the front of the class with confidence and pride, sharing her study tips and motivational quotes, stuff she’d been preparing for three whole days.
“Finally, I want to thank my sister, Amber said, her voice full of emotion. “Without her support and encouragement, I couldn’t have made such fast progress.”
Sienna’s usually cool expression melted into a soft smile, her eyes curving into crescents. She was breathtakingly beautiful, and not a single parent in the room could take their eyes off her.
“Miles, hurry up. I need to find Amber,” Claire urged, glancing impatiently at her brother, who was dragging his feet behind her.
Miles was moving so slow. If they didn’t get there soon, all the good seats up front would be gone.
“Seriously, what is this school even thinking? Parent–child activities? We’re not toddlers.
“And now they want the parents to compete? Like Miles would ever lower himself to do something so childish, Claire thought, rolling her eyes.
“Amber?” Claire called out, practically bouncing with excitement when she saw Sienna Sienna, you’re here.”
“Hey Claire,” Sienna replied, flashing her a warm smile.
“Amber, is Sienna joining the competition, too? Why does it have to be archery, and for gold medals, no less? Like anyone actually cares about a couple of shiny coins, Claire complained, rolling her eyes.
It was scorching hot out bere, and they were just wasting time. Honestly, they’d be better off just letting the parents wander around the school,’ she thought.
There was absolutely no way Miles was going g to take part in this.
Amber looked up at Sienna with big, hopeful eyes. Sienna gently patted her head. “What’s up?”
“Sienna, I want a gold medal.” Amber said, her voice full of longing
Sienna’s expression softened, her tone warm and affectionate. “Alright, shoot one down for you.”
Claire bit down on her sleeve, thinking, “Why? Why don’t have a sister like that? It’s just not fair.
Not giving up yet, Claire glanced back and saw Miles still way off in the distance, completely absorbed in a work call.

It really hurts more when you compare yourself to others, Claire thought, feeling a wave of frustration and jealousy,
“What’s wrong? Why are you tearing up?” Miles asked, walking up to Claire and noticing her red eyes and the way she was biting her lip.
“Did someone bully you?” he asked, his voice full of concern.
Claire pushed him away. “Who else? It’s you, Miles I don’t care, but you have to join the competition, or I’ll tell Mom and Dad on you.”
