Chapter 241
The nurse knew exactly who Iris was, a famous doctor from abroad, personally hired by the hospital director.
Even though she was upset, the nurse didn’t dare say a word. With Iris’s connections, no matter how bad her temper was, none of them could afford to complain or talk back.
The nurse slunk away awkwardly.
Iris cast a resentful glance toward the operating room, would really have it too easy.

As she turned around, Iris noticed someone sitting at the nurse’s station. The person looked vaguely familiar.
For a moment, Iris couldn’t quite remember who it was.
It dawned on her; this was Josef’s younger brother, Jacoli, the one Leo had said was mentally ill. “What’s he doing here?” she wondered.
Leo had told Iris that Jacob had lost his mind ten years ago,
Jacob couldn’t take care of himself, always acting crazy and clueless, and was prone to violent outbursts. But now he actually looked like a normal person.
“What’s going on here?” Iris walked over to the nurse and asked.
“Dr. Grant, this patient accidentally cut his arm. I’m just bandaging it up, the nurse replied.
A sly smirk tugged at Iris’s lips. “Well, look at that. Another easy mark just handed to me on a silver platter, she wondered.
“No way I’m letting him walk out of here in one piece, she thought darkly.
Iris cleared her throat twice and put on a serious face. “Oh, I see. A cut like that isn’t something to take lightly. It might even be infected.
“My advice is to get a shot and then have it stitched up. Come to my office, and I’ll give you a full examination.”
Jacob frowned. It’s just a scratch, nothing that needs surgery or a check–up. If Josef hadn’t made such a fuss, the wound would be gone in an hour, he thought.
“No thanks, it’s just a scratch from a tree branch, Jacob replied flatly.
Iris’s face instantly turned cold, her voice sharp and unfriendly as she chapped, “What’s that supposed to mean? I’m the doctor here. If you come to the hospital, you should listen to the doctor’s advice.
“Now get into the operating room with me so I can check you again. I try to help, and you just throw it back in my face. People like you -always pinching pennies, scared to spend a dime.”

The nurse stepped forward and said softly, “Dr. Grant, but this patient just has a regular scratchi, I’ve already-
Before she could finish, Iris turned and dumped all her pent–up anger straight onto the nurse.
Iris snapped, “What do you know, you’re just a nurse? Who’s the doctor here, me or your Since when does a little nurse like you get to
Do you rien know do I am? Or are you just begging to get fired? One word from me and you’re out of here.”
She leaned in eyes full of disdain. “Oh, you’re still an intern No wonder you have zero sense. You actually dare to offend your superiors! Du you even want to fuiih your internship?d? Get out of my night, you worthless thing”
Jacob was an idiot. This woman was obviously just here to stir up trouble
“Mas Big Shot Doctor, are you deal or just pretending I said I don’t need you to treat me.
“I don’t care what kind of boss you think you are. I get decide what happens to my body,” he shot back, his tone iry,
