Chapter 253

Zane was still fixing his hair when Sienna walked in, carrying someone in her arms. The mirror slipped from his hands and shattered on the floor with a loud crash.
“Sienna, what happened to you? How did you end up hurt like this?” Zane cried out, his face going pale as he rushed over.
He saw Sienna’s back covered in scrapes and bruises, some so deep one could almost see the bone. Zane’s eyes went wide with horror. He slapped a hand over his mouth, tears pouring down his face.
“Sienna, you need to lie down. Let me bandage you up first,” Zane stammered, his voice shaking.
Before he could finish, Sienna turned to face him, her eyes cold and sharp.
“There’s no time, Zane,” she said flatly. “Start the surgery right now. We have to get that chip out of her immediately.”
Sienna grabbed a set of clothes from the side and started putting them on. Even as the fabric scraped over her wounds, she acted as if nothing had happened, completely unfazed.
One of her fingers was broken, but with a brutal snap, Sienna forced it back into place herself, not even blinking.
Zane stood there, both shocked and aching for her. But he knew this wasn’t the time to fall apart.
There was no room for error with Winifred’s surgery, and Zane knew he couldn’t handle it by himself either. Only Sienna could guarantee a 100% success rate.
“What? Is that true?” In the office, Iris overheard the nurses gossiping that the most mysterious miracle doctor, Nicholas Solis, would be performing surgery in the operating room tonight. She could barely contain her excitement and joy.
Nicholas was Iris’s idol. She never imagined she would get to see Nicholas here.
Iris didn’t hesitate for a second. She rushed to the operating room doors, only to be stopped by a wall of bodyguards. “No one is allowed near,” one of them said firmly.
“I’m a doctor. I work at this hospital. I need to go in and help,” Iris insisted, trying to push past them.
But the bodyguards didn’t budge. One of them shoved her back, firm but not rough. “Please leave. No one is allowed near the operating
room.”
Iris clenched her teeth, then let out a resigned sigh. ‘Fine, I’ll wait, she told herself.
iris was certain Nicholas was inside. There was no way she’d leave without seeing her. Just who could possibly have invited Dr. Solis to come here?‘ she wondered, her curiosity burning.
Rumor had it that no one had ever seen what Nicholas actually looked like. People only assumed it was a man because of his name.
No matter what, Iris was determined to become his apprentice tonight. She had waited for this day for years, and all her previous attempts to find him had ended in failure,
‘If I could become Dr. Solis’s apprentice, my name would be known everywhere. Why would I ever need to worry about Sienna again?‘ Iris thought.
Inside the operating room, Sienna’s eyes were icy and utterly devoid of emotion as she coldly manipulated the scalpel in her hand. Zane stood beside her, completely focused.
Every second counted–this was a race against time.
By the time the surgery finally ended, it was already 5 a.m. Sienna still showed not a trace of fatigue, while even Zane was struggling to stay on his feet.
He just couldn’t fathom how his senior, with such severe injuries, could keep going like nothing was wrong.
With a sharp snap, the scissors landed in the tray. Sienna closed her eyes in silence and let out a deep, relieved sigh. Finally, the

operation was a success.
“Sienna?” Zane started, reaching out to steady her.
But Sienna waved him off. “You take her,” she said flatly.
“Sure.” Zane nodded.
As soon as Zane stepped out of the operating room, Iris rushed over, her face brimming with excitement. “Dr. Solis, my wait, you?” she blurted out, her words catching as she recognized him.

Iris stared at Zane in disbelief. “Why is he coming out of the operating room? One thing was absolutely certain; there’s no way he’s the Dr. Solis I’m looking for, she thought.
His name was Zane. She had done her homework on him and knew all about his background; he was a fairly well–known doctor in his own right.
Zane muttered under his breath, “What a nutcase.
But as Zane brushed by, Iris caught a glimpse of Winifred inside, and her jaw nearly dropped. ‘Wait, it was she who got the surgery? I never would’ve guessed,‘ she thought, stunned.
