Chapter 130
Emily looked away without thinking. Stella grabbed her chin and turned her face toward her. With a steady gaze, Stella asked slowly, “I’m asking you. Has Anna reached out to you lately?”
Emily forced herself to stay calm and said, “Why does it matter to you if she did or didn’t?”
Stella let out a quiet laugh, but it had a cold edge that made Emily nervous. “Why won’t you just tell me the truth? The truth is, she hasn’t contacted you at all, right? Emily, don’t you see she’s selfish and only cares about herself?
“Whenever she seemed to be doing well before, it was because of me. But after I left, what happened to her? She took all the benefits that
should have been mine.
“Her mom helped her own family so much that they ran out of money for medical bills. Afraid those bills would crush her, she just ran off if she treats her own family like that, how do you think she treats you?”
Stella stared right at Emily and saw her face change. Emily looked shaken inside. That was exactly what Stella wanted.
Anna was too tough to get to, so starting with her was unrealistic. But Emily wasn’t too bright. Stella had known her longer and knew her weak spots.
Emily seemed to forget why she came and was looking for a chance to leave. Stella pulled out her phone and told a private detective to keep following Emily.
Starting with Emily, Stella would get what she needed. While Stella was working, her phone rang. It was Jordan. “There’s a party in a couple of days. Anna might be there. Are you going?”
Stella said, “Looks like you already know where Anna is.”
“I’m worried she might try to get back at you behind your back. I have to find out where she is.”
“Go ahead. Why wouldn’t I go? I want to see how she has the nerve to show up in public. And maybe I’ll send a video to my good dad and mom so they can see how their ‘perfect‘ daughter is living it up.”
Jordan heard that and knew she’d fully stood up for herself. “What about Lionel?”
“I’m going myself. Want to watch the show?”
“You want me to come?”
Stella laughed. “If you’ve got time, come on.”
Jordan said, “Alright.” The evidence against Lionel was almost all gathered. Stella wasn’t going to let anyone who hurt her get away.
If she didn’t take action, they’d think she was easy to push around and wouldn’t know what else they might do.
When Stella got to the hospital entrance, she saw Jordan. Jordan always looked sharp in a suit. He had a solid build and wore the suit perfectly.
As they walked inside, they overheard some nurses whispering, “I heard Dr. Quinn’s getting promoted again, maybe to Deputy Director.”
“That’s crazy impressive. So young and already that high up. Makes me jealous.”
“If he weren’t already engaged, I’d be all over him.”

Chapter 130
“He wouldn’t look at us anyway. He’s the future head of Quinn Group. Right now, he’s just doing what he loves at the hospital, but he’ll be running the company one day.”
“Man, life’s just not fair.”
Stella and Jordan headed straight to the conference room, where they found Rowan already inside, giving Lionel high praise in front of the
entire team.
This hospital had always been the top hospital in the city. Every time something like this happened, it was broadcast live.
Rowan said, “I’m sure everyone knows Dr. Quinn. He became a director at a young age. He loves his job and always puts patients first.
“His medical skills are excellent. He often handles tough cases, and many patients and their families trust him. He’s kind and down–to–earth and always follows the hospital’s rules.
After lots of tests and evaluations, we’ve decided to appoint Dr. Quinn as our hospital’s…”
Suddenly, someone shouted, “Wait!” and grabbed everyone’s attention.
Everyone turned around. Lionel’s face darkened when he saw Stella. He stood up and said, “Stella, what are you doing here?”
Stella didn’t even glance at him. She just stared at Rowan. “Before you announce anything, can I show everyone something?”
Lionel realized things weren’t right. He quickly got up and tried to stop Stella, but Jordan stepped in first. “Stella,” Lionel called out.
Stella didn’t wait for the hospital leaders to speak. She placed what she had on the table. Almost immediately, everyone’s attention focused
on the video playing.
“Lionel, listen carefully. As long as you do this, I could invest in your family. You know the Quinn family’s situation now.”
“Can I refuse?”
“No. If you don’t, I’ll speed up your company’s bankruptcy. Is that what you want?”
“Stella…”
“Stella trusts you. If you draw her blood, she won’t suspect a thing.”
“But her health…”
“Then figure it out. What matters more, your family’s company or Stella’s health? You’re a doctor. Don’t you know how soon she might die?”
The video continued.
“I did what you asked. Why won’t you let me go?”
“Lionel, we’re in this together now. If you want me to let you go, make sure Stella never gets the blood. Give it all to my wife.”
