"I'll do everything I can to help and turn you into a demon with over ten thousand years of life."
Shannon made that grave statement and promise as her eyes fixed on Bianca. Though she'd manifested her tenth tail, she still couldn't control a demon's lifespan, let alone retrieve the lives Bianca had sacrificed.
Now, the only thing she could do was extend Bianca's remaining demon lifespan so much that it would make up for more than what she had lost.
As for how she could do that… humans could turn to elixirs and artifacts to prolong life, while demons could increase lifespan through cultivation.
Before Bianca could fully process Shannon's words, she heard her say, "Starting today, I'll supervise your training. We'll aim to reach your nine tails as soon as possible."
The stronger a demon's supernatural powers, the longer their lifespan would be.
"Huh?" Biana blinked in confusion. How did they suddenly jump to her cultivation?
To the side, Marilyn's eyes lit up. "That's a great idea!"
Though she never interfered with Bianca's choices when it came to helping friends, she was all for it if there was a way to compensate. Training to increase her lifespan was the perfect idea!
Standing aside, Louise nodded approvingly. As Shannon's grandma, she felt she should play a role too.
"When Shannon's busy, I'll take over the supervision myself."
In the beginning, both Shannon and Bianca had trained under her together, but Shannon had grown her tails at lightning speed and left Bianca far behind. Eventually, their paths split, and Bianca's training slowed significantly.
Still, memories of training with Louise were deeply engraved in Bianca's mind.
She trembled slightly at the memories of endless bullying and torment in the domain and swallowed hard, muttering, "That won't be necessary."
No matter how Bianca resisted, Louise and Marilyn had made up their minds. All objections were invalid.

In Seastone, Velquin's divine soul vanished after Shannon and Benjamin left. The mini fire phoenix he had transformed into returned to the Cooper residence.
Looking at Trevaris lying on the bed and recovering his soul, Velquin didn't enter the latter's body. Instead, he landed quietly on a windowsill.
Staring into the deep, black sky, the sadness and grievance in his eyes from parting with Elowen slowly faded away. It was replaced by something much darker and intense.
After being entangled with Vlad for thousands of years, he knew Vlad wouldn't disappear so easily.
He knew of Vlad's secret in the alternate world…
