Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 2302

The moment Mike revealed that answer, a strange, heavy silence fell over the group.

Even Mike himself had trouble believing it at first.

He'd interacted with Shannon's domain. Though he'd never entered the Ten-Tailed's domain after she formally inherited her tenth tail power, it didn't stop him from recognizing the familiarity when the Alternate Divine Power trapped him.

What truly confirmed it was seeing Lexie and the others here.

He hadn't arrived here by choice. While fleeing the Divine Power's detection, he'd accidentally stumbled into Shannon's domain.

When the group was teleported here, he was pulled along through that connection.

The reason he'd been able to use his spiritual energy even under the control of the Alternate Divine Power was not because he'd entirely broken free of its restraints. Instead, both his spiritual energy and the golden light Shannon had gifted him were recognized and accepted by her domain.

Like the Divine Power, Shannon had been unable to sense his presence due to the scripts on his body, but her domain had welcomed him in without resistance.

There was no denying that Mike's expected encounter brought the group a crucial discovery. Even Fennec, the current bearer of the Might of the Divine Power, had not known this.

"If that's true, that's awesome. We were planning to work with the Divine Power anyway," Lexie said.

Now that they knew where such contact could be made with the Alternate Divine Power, it would save them a lot of time and effort.

Elliot nodded in agreement.

Mike looked quite proud of himself. The team clearly needed him to move things forward.

But Velquin interjected, "Our current priority is to locate the key malice Vlad released. Only by proving that Vlad is trying to destroy the foundations of the alternate world can we drive a wedge between him and the Divine Power."

That would give them the chance to step in as a third-party force and pull the Divine Power to their side of the conflict.

While Adam was completely immersed in the dream, he had no idea that a trace of malice, invisible to the naked eye, had slipped from his shut-down laptop. Like a thread of smoke, it slithered into his dream.

With that, he learned of a new truth in the dream—a truth from a parallel world.

Thalia and Shannon did not belong to this world at all. He was the man they referred to as the dead husband and father, but that "him" came from another world.

They'd chosen to leave because they'd had a version of him in that other world.

If there hadn't been another version of him in the other world… He should have been their choice. They should have been his wife and daughter.

If only… that parallel world didn't exist.

That thought planned itself in his consciousness and was buried deep in the soil of his dreams.
