Golden chains of the seal spiraled upward and were just inches away from trapping Velquin and Vlad when a miniature black fox formed from filth energy rushed into the massive Divine Power seal in the sky.
Once it struck, all its filth energy scattered into formless wisps.
As the controlling source of all that filth energy, Heston was visibly weakened, while his contracton, Lexie, coughed up a mouthful of blood from the backlash.
Only a direct collision with the divine seal gave her a clear understanding of how powerful the Might of the Divine Power was.
No matter how strong the Unmelting Bone might be, it was nothing against the Divine Power.
She and Heston could only withstand one strike like that, even with their powers combined. Any more, and both of them would be done for.
But for Velquin, that one strike was enough.
The moment the seal wavered, he surged forward and dragged Vlad with him. They broke through the range of the seal's control and headed straight for the exit.
Red phoenix flames spiraled around his trailing feathers as he shot toward the edge of the domain. Half of his body had made it out of the domain while he dragged the shapeless Vlad behind him.
On the swamp where Vlad's clones had been sealed, phoenix totems, once marking the ten golden pillars, had silently faded.
With the phoenix's suppression and attraction of the true form, the swamp twitched as if coming back to life and desperately stretched toward Velquin.
Yet because Shannon's ten golden pillars still pinned it tightly in place, the swamp could only heave and struggle without being able to escape the domain.
Now fully outside the domain, Velquin turned to Shannon across the space and called out once more, "Shannon, lift the seal."
Shannon frowned. Instead of acting immediately, she asked, "Tell me why."
The moment Velquin left the domain, he could feel dark clouds rapidly gathering in the sky.
Shannon's interference within her domain had made it tough for the Alternate Divine Power to stop Velquin. Now, it left the domain and returned to the alternate world, intending to strike them down with heavenly lightning.
But Velquin ignored the looming storm above his head. His gaze remained fixed on Shannon within the domain, and after a long pause, he slowly said, "If you seal Vlad within your domain, the swamp's corruption will slowly eat away at your power."
Shannon's pupils constricted as she was torn between decisions to pull him back into the domain to escape the heavenly lightning or to do as he asked and release the seal.
Countless thoughts flashed through her mind in that fleeting instant, but in the end, they all led to one choice.
Truthfully, she only had one.
Raising her hand, her fingers formed a mudra as she swept her arm through the air.
Clang!
One by one, the ten golden pillars once driven deep into the swamp were uprooted.
Once the seals were gone, the swamp formed from malice rushed forth in a massive surge and flowed along Vlad's true form connected to Velquin's tails.
With that, it poured out of the domain and straight into the alternate world…
