"Let's get milkshakes," Shannon proposed.
With that, the five of them each held a milkshake.
Louise looked at the beverage in her hand, unimpressed. However, since her granddaughter had brought it for her, she decided to give it a try.
She took a quick sip, and… It was surprisingly good.
The group of five made for an eye-catching sight, thanks to their striking appearances.
Unsurprisingly, they drew plenty of attention as they walked through the mall.
Hector led them straight into one of the high-end boutiques and handed over an SSVIP card. The staff immediately cleared the store for their private use.
With that, the spree began.
Technically, the outing was meant to help Louise find something to wear, but the moment they stepped inside, Thalia was already picking things out for herself.
After she was done, she turned to Shannon, selecting pieces for her too.
Once she had exhausted her own options, she started critiquing Louise's taste with no restraint whatsoever.
Louise shot her a cold, warning glare. The fiery temper of the Ruler of Foxes surged, and she snapped, "I'm done."
Without hesitation, she turned around and walked away.
Knowing she had stirred something, Thalia quickly gave a look to Shannon. The two then linked arms with Louise, one on each side.
"Come on. You're over a thousand years old. Why do you still have the temper of a teen girl?" Thalia remarked.
Shannon gave constructive criticism instead. "I thought the blue one looked good on you. It highlights your elegance."
Louise huffed, mumbling, "I don't need help highlighting my elegance."
She had been elegant—she was the Ruler of Foxes, after all.
Thanks to Hector's intervention, what was supposed to be a quick purchase of two outfits quickly escalated into an all-out shopping spree for the three ladies.
By the time they finally wrapped up and made it to dinner, it was already 8:30 pm.
After a surprisingly harmonious meal, Shannon and the others each headed home. Only after seeing them off did Hector return to his villa in Jamborough alone.
The moment he stepped through the door, he paused. There, seated casually in the living room, was someone he hadn't expected to see.
Hector raised an eyebrow and said, "Shannon's already home."
Benjamin, sitting on the couch, slowly rose to his feet. His dark gaze settled on Hector.
After a momentary silence, he replied, "I know. I was waiting for you."
