She held the morning meeting for her team, then went to Herminia’s and Ryan’s rooms to fold an animal for each of them.

Herminia was easy to handle. She took away the old animals and received new ones every day.

But as for the little towel animals in Ryan’s room–they were pretty much gone for good, no coming back.

Every morning when she went in, the bed was always empty.

She even suspected that his three dogs had eaten all those little animals.

So she gently suggested, “Maybe you should take your three dogs for a physical checkup?”

Ryan, wearing gold–rimmed glasses, was busy at his computer. He sipped his coffee and said, “Don’t worry. They’re all males. None of them are pregnant.”

“No, I’m just worried your sons might have eaten something they shouldn’t have,” Freya said.

“What?”

“Like fabric, paper, or something similar.”

Ryan thought for a moment and nodded, “Alright, let’s take them for a checkup at the pet hospital this afternoon.”

Freya said, “I still have to work this afternoon. You should ask Claire to go with you.”

Ryan raised an eyebrow, “Doesn’t Claire need to work?”

Freya said, “Then go by yourself.”

“As their mother, aren’t you supposed to be there for the kids‘ checkup?”

Freya was speechless.

After lunch, Ryan drove her to the pet hospital.

She changed into casual clothes and came out to find Ryan’s car parked at the hotel entrance. He was wearing a relaxed T- shirt with jeans and black sunglasses, looking very different from his usual business attire–a bit like a stylish athlete.

He was holding leashes for three dogs, talking to a beautiful young woman.

Freya didn’t know much about his social circle and had no idea who the young woman was, but she secretly took a photo.

If he ever called her in the middle of the night to fix another coffee machine, she wouldnd this photo to the leather–clad tough girl.

She had seen just how fierce that tough girl could be.

When she put him in a chokehold, he didn’t dare fight back.

Freya thought, ‘Ryan, you finally gave me something to hold over you!”

As Freya pondered, she continued to search for the best spot to take photos.

But Ryan had sharp eyes. Just as Freya was about to step toward the shade, she heard him call out, “Over here!”

The girl looked over, her face still childish. She seemed to be no more than a high school student.

Freya walked over, waved as a greeting, and said, “Mr. Reed, chatting with your friend?”

The girl pointed at Freya and asked, “Who is she?”

Ryan replied, “The mother of my three kids.”

Freya was shocked.

The girl was stunned. “You two already have kids?”

Ryan shrugged casually. “Yeah, they’re all grown up–seventy or eighty pounds now.”

The girl’s eyes immediately turned red, her voice trembling. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know you were married and had children. I never meant to come between you. I’ll leave now.”

Covering her mouth, the girl let out a wounded cry and ran off.

She ran far away, but her crying could still be heard.

Ryan urged her, “Get in the car. Stop looking.”

Freya finally understood a little, “That girl just now came to confess to you?”

Ryan handed her the dog leash, reached over to open the passenger door for her, then leaned lazily against the car and said, “People who look good get confessed to all the time, right? You get confessed to often, too.”

Freya asked, “When did I ever?”

Growing up, except for Liam, no one had ever pursued her.

Lily was also puzzled back then. Even though she and Freya were different types, both were beautiful in their own ways, and Lily had a crowd of admirers; yet Freya never received a single confession letter.

It just wasn’t logical.

Back then, Freya was focused entirely on her studies and never gave the matter much thought.
