Freya squinted, studying him intently.

“Just say what you want to say,” he said.

Freya said, “Mr. Reed, you really do have quite the strategy.”

Ryan felt a slight tremor in his heart.

He thought, ‘Did she notice something? But it’s fine if she did. Sooner or later, this needs to be addressed.

He licked his lips; the secret he’d kept for fifteen years was about to burst out, and even he felt restless and uneasy.

He began, “Freya, actually, I…”

“You really give everything for Liam–even to the point of sacrificing yourself!”

Ryan’s smile froze on his face. “What?”

Freya counted on her fingers for him. “First, you used Wesley Hotel hiring me to get me to Sairo, putting physical distance between me and Liam.

“Then, you helped me uncover the truth about Sherri’s death, which severed the last bond between me and Liam, making it impossible to mend things. Now, you want me to play nanny for your three wonderful sons, taking care of all their needs…”

She came to a conclusion. “Are you still worried I might back out at the last moment and not want a divorce?”

She said, “You can be absolutely certain. This marriage has to end. Your best buddy is just a nuisance to me now. I can’t avoid him fast enough, and I have no intention of getting involved with him.”

Ryan listened quietly.

At first, his brows were tightly knitted, but as he listened further, he gradually relaxed.

Although her guesses were all over the place, her conclusion was correct.

That was the answer he wanted.

Perhaps different paths led to the same destination.

He smiled and started the car.

However, it was not in the direction of the hotel.

Freya asked, “Mr. Reed, what are you doing?”

Ryan replied, “Let’s get you a new outfit. I need your help with something tonight.”

He immediately picked out a plain white dress with sunflower patterns and a pair of silver rhinestone high heels. “Let her try these on.”

The staff led Freya to the fitting room. “Miss, please come with me.”

Freya asked, “I haven’t told you my size yet…”

“Your boyfriend is a regular here. He often buys clothes for you at our store, so we’re very familiar with your size.”

Freya was puzzled. “He knows my size?”

“Yes!”

That was not right.

Ryan’s girlfriend was a bronzed gym babe–shorter than her by a couple of inches, but thanks to her regular workouts, noticeably more muscular.

Of course their clothing sizes weren’t the same.

Freya said, “The size you picked probably isn’t right. I’ll go choose it myself.”

“It’s definitely correct! We’re in the apparel business, so we can tell your approximate size at a glance. The size your boyfriend chose for you is absolutely accurate. If you don’t believe it, take a look!”

Freya glanced at the dress and shoes–size M, and about a US 6.5 for the shoes.

The clothing size was correct, but the shoes seemed to be half a size too big.

The staff continued, “Your boyfriend specifically asked us to buy the high heels half a size larger so they’d be more comfortable. He also had us prepare half–size inserts, so your feet won’t feel cramped and it’ll be easier to walk.”

After she heard the staff’s explanation, the thought Freya had earlier started to surface again.

Ryan seemed to know everything about her too well.

Even Liam only knew to buy her shoes in a US size 6.

Whether they were heels, sneakers, or flats, it was always size 6i.

He never considered whether heels should be half a size bigger, and he had never even heard of half sole inserts.

Freya asked, “May I ask, has he bought women’s clothes and shoes here many times before?”
