Tiffany shot Alicia a death glare, grinding her teeth in frustration. “That damn Alicia, acting like she’s begging me, but she makes me sound like the bad guy,’ Tiffany cursed to herself, furious at being set up.
Alicia saw Tiffany’s resentment, wanting to take her down but powerless to do so. With a sigh, she pocketed her phone and walked off without looking back.
Tiffany sat on the ground, her ankle throbbing with pain, but no one came to help. The crowd just gawked and gossiped, pointing fingers at her like she was a freak show. Not a single person offered a hand.
Tiffany felt rage boiling over. She turned to a girl who looked vaguely familiar and pleaded, “Can you help me up?”
The girl took a step back, looking scared. “I’ve got class soon. I really have to go.”
Tiffany glanced around at the other students, but they all quickly looked away or walked off, like she was the plague.
Tiffany was on the verge of a breakdown. The post that Donna had put up a few days ago had totally trashed her reputation at school. She’d kept her head down for three days, hoping the storm would blow over.
When she finally came back, she’d planned to reveal her identity as the Sweetheart Queen and stir up some hype. Edward West had already arrived in Riverdale, and she figured this was her shot to become his student.
But Alicia had messed it all up again. Her popularity at school had hit rock bottom, and even if she went public as the Sweetheart Queen now, it’d barely make a dent.
‘Alicia, Alicia, Alicia… that bitch. I swear that I won’t let her get away with this,‘ Tiffany fumed, her mind burning with hatred.
She was unable to move. Her foot hurt so badly that she definitely needed someone to take her to the hospital, but there wasn’t a single person she could rely on.
She pulled out her phone, trying to figure out who to call, when it suddenly rang. She glanced at the screen. It was Henry calling.
She snorted under her breath and picked up right away. Before Henry could get a word in, she put on her best pitiful act, her voice quivering as if she were about to cry. “Henry…”
Henry’s heart squeezed with concern as he caught Tiffany’s tearful voice on the line. ‘Tiffany is always so gentle and fragile. Who’s bullying her this time?‘ he thought, an urgent protectiveness rising up.
He rushed to ask, “Hey Tiffany, what happened?”
Tiffany sniffled in her sweetest voice, practically pleading, “Henry, I hurt my foot. It really hurts… It hurts so
much…”
Henry was roaming the halls of Premier Academy, looking for Alicia. He was determined to confront her how much longer she was planning to keep up this drama.

But when he got there, he realized that despite dating Alicia for so long, he didn’t know which classroom she was in or what her major was. He had no clue where to start looking for her.
With Alicia’s number blocked again, he figured he’d try Tiffany, hoping she could help him find Alicia.
But as soon as she picked up, he heard Tiffany crying on the other end.
Tiffany is always so gentle and vulnerable. She definitely needs someone to look out for her. I’ll look for Alicia later. Right now, Tiffany needs me,‘ Henry thought, his protective instincts taking over.
He quickly asked, “What happened to your foot? Where are you?”
Tiffany managed to choke out, “I’m near Roseberry Building on the east side of campus. Alicia pushed me, and now I can’t move.”
Henry’s frown deepened as soon as he realized Alicia was involved. He hung up, flagged down a random student, and called out, “Hey, do you know where Roseberry Building is?”
The student, taken aback by Henry’s intense gaze, blushed and shyly pointed him in the right direction.
Henry rushed over, and even from afar, he saw Tiffany sitting on the ground, her brows furrowed in pain and her eyelashes glistening with tears. She looked so fragile and vulnerable that it tugged at his heartstrings.
Henry sprinted over, knelt beside her, and reached out. “Tiffany, are you okay?”
As soon as she saw Henry, Tiffany couldn’t hold back any longer. The tears she’d been holding back suddenly streamed down her cheeks.
She fell right into his arms, her heart heavy with sorrow and a sense of wronged innocence, clinging to him as if he were her only anchor.
Henry gently tried to help her up, but her injured foot buckled completely. Tiffany just sank deeper into his embrace, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck and burying her face in his shoulder, her sobs shaking both of them.
Tiffany was really sobbing now, the pain far worse than she’d ever imagined. Every tiny movement sent sharp jolts up her leg, making her tears fall uncontrollably.
Henry held her close, his voice soft yet steady. “I’ll take you to the hospital.”
Still crying, Tiffany could only nod, clutching Henry even tighter as she trembled with pain and helplessness.
Henry carefully helped her to her feet, keeping a protective arm around her, and together they headed off for the hospital.
Once the doctor had finished wrapping up Tiffany’s ankle, he said, “Just a sprain. Put on some ointment and take it easy for a few days. You’ll be fine.”
Henry felt a wave of relief and thanked the doctor. Then he turned to Tiffany. “So, you’re saying Alicia pushed you, and that’s how this happened?”

Tiffany nodded a little but quickly shook her head. “No, Alicia didn’t really mean it. She was just super upset. I don’t blame her, Henry… I swear. Don’t fight with her because of me, okay?”
Henry frowned, worry written all over his face. “Just tell me, Tiffany. What really happened?”
Tiffany bit her lip, her voice trembling. “I just tried to talk her out of doing something she’d regret, just because she wanted to get back at me. But she lost her cool and pushed me. She really hates me, Henry… She can’t even stand to look at me.”
Henry’s brow furrowed, his voice calm but firm. “Alicia isn’t that kind of person, Tiffany. Honestly, anyone would be upset if people said those things about them.”
Tiffany stared at Henry, shocked that he was still taking Alicia’s side and even sort of blaming her. She bit her lip. “Henry, I’m just worried about Alicia. She doesn’t have any money right now. How could she possibly afford to eat at Noble Leaf Bistro or live at Linen Bay Residences? Those places are super exclusive. Nobody just rents an apartment there.”
Henry’s frown deepened. “Come on. Alicia used to be the Lawrence family’s heiress. She’s got to have some kind of social circle. Who knows, maybe one of her friends lives at Linen Bay Residences.”
Tiffany wanted to tell Henry that the Lawrence family had never treated Alicia like a pampered heiress. There was no way Alicia had those connections. But she kept quiet. If she said that, Henry would just feel sorry for Alicia all over again.
Tiffany knew Henry well. He had a soft spot for anyone who looked vulnerable. No matter who was at fault, he’d always rush to help the underdog without thinking twice.
In his mind, he was always the hero, ready to swoop in and save whoever needed it.
She forced a dry laugh and added, “As far as I know, Alicia’s always been way too proud to bother making friends with anyone.”
Henry glanced at Tiffany and then suddenly said, “The doctor said your foot is not a big deal. I’ll take you home. Just rest for a few days.”
Tiffany wanted to say more, but Henry was gathering up her medicine, not leaving her any room to argue.
She could only bite her lip and just do whatever he said.
Tiffany had thought Henry would carry her in his arms again, just like when he first arrived. But instead, he found a wheelchair for her, rolled her out to the parking lot, and helped her into the car.
After dropping Tiffany off, Henry went straight back to campus. He still needed to find Alicia. There were so many things he needed to say, and he just couldn’t quiet his mind until he did.
But he ended up running around the campus, aimless and frustrated. He asked student after student about Alicia, but the place was so huge, not everyone even knew who she was. Some people had heard her name mentioned on the forums, but they couldn’t match it to anyone in real life.
