He’s an Alpha She doesn’t Care novel Chapter 138

Jared

He walked along holding her hand, and could barely stop smiling at all, his place next to Wynta was solidified completely. No one could ever separate them. His band was also now blue, a single drop of her blood onto the band, and it had not only activated the band, but he’d also felt the heat come from it and flood through his body, and then he’d scented her out for himself.

Her Mate scent of peony was sweet and floral and added a kind of cheekiness to the way it also complimented the scents of Lotus and Jasmine perfectly. Soft and gentle yet cheeky at the same time.

Despite the undeniable bond sparking on his skin, Wynta still seemed intent on teasing him. She playfully challenged him, attempting to delay their marking and mating, as if testing his patience. It was almost comical; how could an Alpha like him ever be expected to wait for such a moment? He had already shared her bed on numerous occasions, and every fiber of his being yearned to claim her as his own. The thought of it sent a thrill through him.

He could always return to tormenting her after they completed the marking and mating rituals. The idea of teasing her, of making her beg for him, brought a smirk to his lips. Oh, how he relished the thought of her pleading for his touch.

Wynta’s wolf had placed the band on herself, a precaution to prevent them from getting carried away and marking him prematurely. But now, he found himself itching for that moment, for the heat of their bond to fully manifest.

As they entered the hospital, he leaned closer to her, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “What if we just mate now and save the marking for the full moon?” he suggested, his tone light yet hopeful.

She smiled, shaking her head gently, and a part of him ached to pin her against the wall, seducing her into agreement. “No,” she replied, but her mother’s absence had given her the courage to look him in the eye and, relinquishing their mind-link, she asked aloud, “Can’t you contain yourself for even a few minutes?” Her smile was teasing, as if she already knew the answer.

“No,” he chuckled softly, his heart racing. “I want to claim the woman I love, my Goddess-Gifted Mate, for all to see. Neither Creed nor I can stand to wait a moment longer than necessary,” he confessed, the urgency in his voice palpable.

He turned her to face him, pressing her against the nearest wall, a playful grin on his face. “I’d be more than happy to do it right here, without a care for who might be watching.” His eyes sparkled with mischief. “Touch me, sweetheart, and let me feel everything you experienced last night.”

She snorted in response, “You’ll get out of hand very quickly.” She pushed against him playfully. “Gone are the days when only my pleasure mattered, I see.”

“No, just until you agree to the marking and mating. After that, I’ll go right back to tormenting you until you beg for me, sweetheart,” he replied, his voice earnest.

“Hmm, I’m not sure I believe that,” she murmured thoughtfully.

“Have I ever lied to you?” he countered, raising an eyebrow.

“Not that I’m aware of,” she admitted, her tone softening. “But Jared, my mother comes first. Once she’s free of those stones, she’ll access her true lineage, just like me, and know who her Mate is. Don’t you want to know who he is?”

His gaze narrowed slightly. “Of course, but only your mother will know. That wolf won’t have a clue until the full moon rises,” he reasoned with her. “Are you really going to make us wait until then?” His impatience was evident; he saw no reason for delay.

She nudged him playfully, but he stepped closer, refusing to back down. “Kiss me, and I’ll let it go for now.” He proposed, knowing they could revisit the topic later in the privacy of their bedroom.

He noticed her head tilt, and the flicker of green and blue behind her eyes indicated she was conferring with Remi. Suddenly, her wolf surfaced, gazing directly at him. “Compromise?” Remi stated, her tone challenging.

Jared allowed Creed to step forward, wanting to face her wolf, finally meeting her gaze since their awareness had blossomed. “Which is?” Creed inquired, mirroring Remi’s previous words.

They both watched as Remi’s smile widened, her heart rate quickening with excitement. The grin transformed into a cheeky smirk that lit up her eyes. “A kiss, but no touching us,” she declared, pushing him back with a surprising strength. “If you lose, you wear a yellow thong around the pack, nothing else.”

Remi’s playful smirk was infectious, and Jared realized the two of them were conspiring together, her wolf just as mischievous as Wynta herself. He felt Creed recede, leaving him to navigate this unexpected challenge.

Jared returned Remi’s smile, though doubt crept in. The longer he lingered in thought, the more amusement radiated from her beast. He felt her claws lightly prick his skin, and suddenly, the fabric of his shirt tore, exposing his chest and abdomen to her. The sensation of those mate bond sparks igniting across his skin was intoxicating.

The moment he kissed her, he knew he would want to be pressed against her, their bond fully realized. He was uncertain if he could resist that urge. Remi was actively teasing him, exposing his skin and sending sparks dancing across him, testing his willpower.

He glanced down at her hand resting on his chest, watching as she lifted it, her finger tapping rhythmically over his heart. Each tap sent a hot spark coursing through him, quickening his pulse. “She’s a devil,” Creed snorted, amusement lacing his voice.
