Chapter 104
Liam groaned. “I was trying not to fall for you. That was my defense mechanism.”
“By being a jerk?”
“By pretending you didn’t get to me.”
I shook my head. “Well, I’m glad you failed.”
He kissed my forehead. “What’s the favor?”
“I want you to be a guest on my show. Tomorrow.
”
A slow smile tugged at his lips, disbelief dancing in his eyes. “You’re serious?”
“Dead serious.”
He leaned in. “Which outfit do you want me to wear? Because I’m already there.”
I grinned so hard my cheeks hurt.
Grabbing my phone, I updated the show’s page: Tomorrow’s episode is our first–ever live show. And yes, it comes with a very special guest. You won’t want to miss it.
Liam raised a brow. “Should I be scared?”
“Something tells me,” I said, crawling into his lap, “you’re going to love tomorrow.”
The next morning, we stood in front of his closet, half–naked and giggling as I vetoed outfit after outfit.
“No suits,” I told him.
“But I’m a CEO.”
“Not in my kitchen, you’re not.”
By the time I walked into my little home studio, everything was set. Lights on. Mic checked. Camera steady. The live chat was already blowing up with comments, hearts, and excited emojis.

Heart thudding, adrenaline buzzing. I was dangerously close to giddy.
“Good morning, my beautiful people,” I began, smiling into the camera. “Today’s episode is extra special.”
I paused for effect.
“Because today’s guest is someone special to me. Someone who’s seen me at my best and worst… and somehow stayed.”
Liam stood just off–camera, smirking like the devil himself.
“Please welcome… my first–ever guest. My boyfriend, Liam Black.”
He stepped out.
He looked like a man thoroughly satisfied with being claimed.
And the heat in his eyes promised payback. The good kind.
”
The second the live stream ended, Liam reached for me like the rest of the world didn’t exist.
He pulled me close by the waist, his fingers still dusted with powdered sugar from the finale dessert.
“So… boyfriend, huh?” he murmured, that signature smirk playing on his lips.
I tilted my head, biting back a grin. “Yeah. You are mine.”
His eyes darkened in the best way. “Absolutely all yours.”
We barely got two seconds into our celebratory flirt when his phone buzzed. Liam glanced at the screen, groaned, and kissed the corner of my mouth. “I have to go. Something urgent just dropped.”
My smile dipped. “Work?”
“Unfortunately,” he said, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. “But tonight, we celebrate properly.‘
”
“Better come hungry,” I teased.
“Oh, I will,” he said with a wink, already backing toward the door.

I’d just finished tidying up, still floating from the buzz of the show and the taste of him on my lips when the front door burst open.
“EMILYYYY!”
That dramatic yell? One person.
Sophia.
I barely had time to brace before she stomped into the kitchen like she was on a mission to burn the house down.
“Where are you, you traitor?! Come face me! Woman to woman!”
I burst into laughter before she even reached me. “What did I do now?”
She marched in, throwing her hands up. “Who was there when you needed a shoulder to Me! Who helped you set up this studio? Me!”
“And who snuck half my cupcakes last week and denied it under oath?”
Sophia glared. “That’s beside the point.”
I leaned against the counter, laughing. “If this is about the show…”
“When it was time to honor a guest, who did you choose? A mister. Over a sister.”
“The mister is your brother.
“Still!”
”
”
“You hate the spotlight,” I said, throwing a dish towel at her. “You would’ve said no.”
cry on?
She crossed her arms. “That’s not the point. You’re supposed to ask, let me bask in the privilege of turning you down.”
”
I laughed so hard I had to sit.
“And to make it worse,” she continued, “you let the world see you two eye–screwing each other like it was an R–rated cooking class.”
I collapsed onto the couch, laughter bursting from my ribs. “I chose the person who makes me scream at night. You’ll survive.”
Sophia gasped, clutching her invisible pearls. “Oh my God. Look at you. Vulgar now. Liam has

We both laughed until our sides hurt.
Then she flopped beside me, pulled out her phone, and started scrolling through the comments under the live show replay. “Let’s see what the internet thinks of your little love–fest…”
“Oh God,” I groaned. “Please tell me they didn’t catch me blushing like a twelve–year–old.”
Sophia smirked. “Oh, they caught everything. They’re dissecting it frame by frame.

We scrolled together, reading the wild responses. Some were sweet. Some a little too thirsty for Liam. And a few… not so nice.
