Over the weekend, Tessa traveled with Wynn to Haverford to meet a client.
While in Haverford, she ran into an old acquaintance from Zachary's social circle—Jodie.
Jodie approached her, trying to reconnect. She offered to treat Tessa to a meal, but Tessa declined.
She had once considered Jodie a friend. Back then, she had even gifted her an expensive bracelet worth tens of thousands for her birthday. But when others mocked Tessa, claiming the bracelet was fake, Jodie had simply gone along with it.
From that moment on, Tessa saw her for who she really was.
Jodie was no different from the rest of Zachary's friends. Deep down, they all looked down on her. They had never seen her as someone who belonged in their circle.
After spending three days in Haverford, Tessa returned to Rivertown on Wednesday, May 20th.
She stepped off the plane and exited through the business-class VIP arrival hall.
The moment she stepped out, she saw Stephen waiting outside.
Her pace slowed. Why was he here?
He wore a dark gray suit, shoulders squared and posture relaxed, exuding a quiet, effortless elegance.
As she approached, she looked up and spoke coolly. "How did you know I was flying back today?"
"I looked up your flight information," Stephen replied.
Tessa's expression remained cold. "My driver's on the way. There was no need for you to come."
Without waiting for a response, she turned and walked toward the parking area.
Wynn trailed behind her, pulling their suitcases.
Stephen stepped forward and took the suitcase from Wynn.
"Tess, ride with me. I have two new cases I want to entrust you with."
Tessa paused and turned to look at him.
Stephen's expression was serious. "I brought all the case files with me. They're in the car. Come take a look."
"Alright."
If it was work-related, Tessa had no reason to refuse.
About 20 minutes passed. She finally looked up and asked a few detailed questions about the cases.
Stephen answered them all patiently.
A few more minutes later, she frowned slightly. "Wait… this isn't the way to the law firm."
Stephen's lips parted as he replied, "No. We're heading to my office first."
Assuming they would continue discussing the case there, Tessa said nothing more.
They arrived at the Jacobson Corporation headquarters.
In the basement parking lot, Stephen turned to Wynn.
"You stay here. I'll bring Tess up."
Wynn gave Tessa a questioning look.
Tessa said softly, "Wait for me here. I'll be right back."

The readers' comments on the novel: His Unveiled Passion
I know this isn’t Stephen’s fault but I still hated how he was so careless around this bitch even after Tessa already told him it’s obvious that this bitch likes him and she looked at Tessa with hostility. If Tessa breaks up with him again, I’ll even support her. Ugh. Good luck on winning Tessa back again, Stephen. Tss. I so hate these updates....
Nooooo! Not again! We don't need a twist like this. Is it too hard for the writer to conclude with..."and they live happily ever after"?...
Finally getting Stephen and Tess back together then to tear them apart with foolishness. This is craziness...
Yuhohoooo!!! Finally!!!...
Aaand~ Tessa and Stephen are finally back together! Yaaaaay!...
Why make an uninteresting, irrelevant twist when readers are waiting for Tess and Stephen to be together?...
Gosh just let Tessa and Stephen get back together already! Ugh...
Oh my god, when is this book finishing... they're not even back together yet and more nonsense side plots.....
Whoa! Hahahahahaha! Go, Sophia! Burn, stupid Rowena! Lol...
Sooo~ Chapters 310-318 were just a repeat of Jacqueline’s punishment, official expulsion from the Jacobson family, and arrest. With few changes since Tessa and Stephen are not together this time. So Tessa didn’t witness how Jacqueline was tortured at Stephen’s base, though at least Tessa was still called over and witnessed how Stephen officially expelled Jacqueline from the Jacobson family and how Stephen’s subordinate made Jacqueline grovel in front of Tessa. Lol. I hope Jacqueline’s really out of the story now....
