Since Tessa and Stephen decided to leave the haunted house, they stopped in the hallway. Then, Stephen took his phone out to make a call.
Soon, a staff member appeared before them, opened a hidden door nearby, and led them out of the haunted house.
Tessa's vision swam slightly after leaving the dim interior of the haunted house and into the bright sunlight.
Stephen reached out to support her. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine," she murmured somewhat weakly.
They waited by the exit for ten minutes before Naomi, Quentin, Henry, and Samantha appeared one after another.
Quentin looked as though he was seconds from passing out.
In contrast, Naomi looked positively exhilarated. "This haunted house lives up to its name. That was pretty fun!"
Quentin looked utterly miserable. "It's good that you had fun."
Naomi's eyes landed on Tessa, who was standing not far away. She asked curiously, "Hold up. How did you get out so fast, Tessa?"
A hint of awkwardness flickered on Tessa's face. "I wasn't feeling all that well, so I left early through the staff passageway."
"You're unwell? What's wrong? Is it bad?" Naomi pressed worriedly.
"Not really. I just got a little dizzy," Tessa murmured. She thought to herself, "I was dizzy due to fright."
Naomi let out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness you're alright." Then, she looked at Quentin and remarked, "Look at the state you're in. You're practically shaking like a leaf. I told you that you should just stay behind if you're scared, but you refused to listen to reason."
Quentin was genuinely shaken. "I'm not doing this again. Never again, you hear me? Screw these attractions! This is supposed to be an amusement park, but I haven't been amused at all. If anything, it should be called a torture chamber because I've been tormented to hell and back!"
Naomi let out a guffaw. "I think it was great! You've really got no one else but yourself to blame for being such a scaredy cat."
Quentin shook his head helplessly and said indulgently, "Naomi, can't we go for something milder for a change?"
Naomi clicked her tongue before pointing at the river rapid ride nearby. "Fine. You've accompanied me on two attractions, so it's only right for me to do the same. Why don't we go on that one?"
Quentin raised his head and happened to see the ride reach the peak before plunging down at high speed, splashing water everywhere.
Aside from exhilarating and toe-curling attractions, this amusement park also featured several animal attractions.
"Would you like to join us?" Henry looked at Stephen.
Stephen replied, "You two go on ahead."
He figured they should go their separate ways. That way, not only would Henry and Samantha be able to enjoy their time alone, but he and Tessa would also be able to do the same.
"Alright." Henry then left with Samantha.
Tessa watched them leave for the belugas and commented, "Henry seems different. His relationship with Samantha isn't like his past ones."
Stephen hummed in agreement before asking, "Has anything caught your eye?"
Tessa gestured to an attraction. "That one looks fun."
"Alright, let's go," Stephen responded.

I know this isn’t Stephen’s fault but I still hated how he was so careless around this bitch even after Tessa already told him it’s obvious that this bitch likes him and she looked at Tessa with hostility. If Tessa breaks up with him again, I’ll even support her. Ugh. Good luck on winning Tessa back again, Stephen. Tss. I so hate these updates....
Nooooo! Not again! We don't need a twist like this. Is it too hard for the writer to conclude with..."and they live happily ever after"?...
Finally getting Stephen and Tess back together then to tear them apart with foolishness. This is craziness...
Yuhohoooo!!! Finally!!!...
Aaand~ Tessa and Stephen are finally back together! Yaaaaay!...
Why make an uninteresting, irrelevant twist when readers are waiting for Tess and Stephen to be together?...
Gosh just let Tessa and Stephen get back together already! Ugh...
Oh my god, when is this book finishing... they're not even back together yet and more nonsense side plots.....
Whoa! Hahahahahaha! Go, Sophia! Burn, stupid Rowena! Lol...
Sooo~ Chapters 310-318 were just a repeat of Jacqueline’s punishment, official expulsion from the Jacobson family, and arrest. With few changes since Tessa and Stephen are not together this time. So Tessa didn’t witness how Jacqueline was tortured at Stephen’s base, though at least Tessa was still called over and witnessed how Stephen officially expelled Jacqueline from the Jacobson family and how Stephen’s subordinate made Jacqueline grovel in front of Tessa. Lol. I hope Jacqueline’s really out of the story now....
