His Unveiled Passion novel Chapter 440

Marissa called out to Stephen, "Stevie, what a coincidence! Are you here to see Tessa to discuss one of your company's litigation cases, too?"

Marissa and Tessa were on friendly terms now.

After Tessa saved her, Marissa was deeply grateful to her. As they spent more time together, she was eventually impressed by Tessa's character and personality. They bonded so well that at one point, she wondered, "Just where have you been all my life, Tessa?"

Still, even though she was now friends with Tessa, that didn't mean that her feelings for Stephen had changed.

So, Marissa was still somewhat upset when she saw him seek Tessa out at the law firm.

Stephen paused in his tracks and looked over. "I'm not here for business. I came because I wanted to see her."

It was more than obvious just what he was implying.

The smile on Marissa's face stiffened.

However, she quickly composed herself and said, "I'm here to see her as well. Why don't we head up together?"

Meanwhile, Tessa had just left her office and was walking over to Jasmine's desk to go over some work-related matters with her.

She was just going into detail when she caught sight of a pair walking toward her from the corner of her eye. She blinked at the sight and wondered, "Why are Stephen and Marissa coming in together?"

Their appearance together immediately breathed life into whispered discussions around them.

They were indirectly giving birth to all sorts of rumors by walking into the office side by side like that. After all, they were both attractive individuals. So, it was no wonder that the staff in her office couldn't help but gossip about Stephen and Marissa.

"Tessa, I ran into Stevie downstairs just now, so we came up together," Marissa said with a smile as she approached Tessa.

Tessa couldn't help but notice that Marissa was explaining herself. It was as if she were worried that Tessa might misunderstand.

Tessa looked away and hummed indifferently.

Stephen had always been a detail-oriented man. Regardless, she only gave him a hum of acknowledgement.

Once Stephen was gone, Jasmine whispered, "Tessa, you've gotten back with Mr. Jacobson, haven't you?"

Tessa blinked dumbly, somewhat caught off guard. She didn't answer Jasmine's question. Instead, she asked, "Why do you say that?"

Jasmine lowered her voice further and murmured mysteriously, "Call it a hunch."

A hunch? She was right on the money.

Jasmine continued, "So, did you two kiss and make up? Come on, Tessa. Aren't we friends? Tell me. I'm literally your number one shipper."

Tessa flicked Jasmine's forehead in amusement and teased, "Get back to work. Look at you gossiping with your boss during working hours. Are you trying to get fired?"

Jasmine immediately mimed zipping her lips.
