Chasing His Wolfless Luna Back (Rayna Quinn) novel Chapter 154

Mine, Not Yours1

Thea’s POV

Slowly, I turned around to find Sebastian sitting right next to me. He was wearing a simple t–shirt and jeans, looking nothing like the polished Alpha I was used to seeing.

“What are you doing here?I stuttered, still in disbelief that he’d actually shown up.

“Leo mentioned you guys would be here, so I came,” he shrugged as if his statement wasn’t completely insane.

I couldn’t stand being near him, so I stood up without a word and walked away. I heard him calling my name, but I chose to ignore it.

I ducked into the nearest restroom, trying to calm myself down. Why now? Just when I’d decided to move forward, he suddenly changes his attitude? Things weren’t supposed to

be this way.

I splashed water on my face, attempting to cool down my emotions. Whatever his reason was for suddenly wanting to be part of my life, it didn’t matter. We were over. Hell, we were over before we even properly began.

When I felt more composed, I stepped out of the restroom only to collide with someone. That familiar scent immediately told me who I’d bumped into.

I jerked away from him as if I’d been burned. With my pregnancy hormones making me emotional, I didn’t want him to misinterpret anything.

“Thea,” he called, his voice low and husky.

“What the fuck do you want, Sebastian?”

I still couldn’t figure him out, and part of me didn’t want to. All I knew was that he’d caused me pain, and I didn’t want to experience that kind of hurt again.

“I just want to talk. There’s something important I need to tell you,” his tone was surprisingly hesitant.

That made me curious. Sebastian was many things, but hesitant and uncertain had never

been among them. In all the years I’d known him, I’d never seen him waver like this. He was usually straightforward. Whether you liked what he had to say or not wasn’t his

fucking problem.

I studied him carefully. His eyes looked different–he was watching me in a way I’d never seen before. Something about him had changed, but I couldn’t put my finger on what exactly.

Not only that, he almost looked… afraid. Like he didn’t know how to tell me whatever he wanted to say and was terrified of my reaction.

My curiosity grew. He was nervous. This nervousness was so out of character.
