Chasing His Wolfless Luna Back (Rayna Quinn) novel Chapter 214

Refusing to Let Go–2

I could and would do anything she asked, except that.

She looked me up and down with an expression I’d never seen on her before.

“But he doesn’t feel the same about you, in case you haven’t noticed,” she said. “You can’t stop him from getting Thea back, this is a warning. We’ve spoiled you and didn’t realize we were turning you into an entitled brat. That ends today. For Goddess’s sake, grow up.”

With that, she left the room. We heard her footsteps as she climbed the stairs, followed by the distant sound of a door slamming.

I turned stiffly toward Roman. He was my good brother. He’d always supported me when I was against Thea.

“Please tell me you don’t think like Mom,” I begged, tears filling my eyes.

He couldn’t be against me too. He’d always been my pillar of strength. If he betrayed me too, I didn’t know what I’d do.

“I’m sorry, Aurora, but Mom’s right. You’re an adult. You have a child and responsibilities, yet you’re still chasing after a man who no longer wants you. You’re still living in the past,

not realizing everyone else has moved on. You need to let Sebastian go. His heart no longer beats for you.”

His words infuriated me, and I pushed him hard. “How would you know? How would you know he doesn’t love me? I know he loves me. Deep down, I know he loves me.”

“I know because he’s my best friend,” he paused, then continued gently. “He told me himself that he loves Thea. He wants her.”

My heart shattered, and I started shaking my head. I tried to wipe the tears from my face, but they just kept falling.

This couldn’t be happening. This wasn’t supposed to happen. I was back. Everything was supposed to go back to normal. Him with me. Wanting me. Loving me. Not Thea. Never Thea.

“You’re lying,” I whispered.

Refusing to Let Go–2

“I’m not,” he said, trying to pull me into his embrace, but I stepped back. “Deep down, you know I’m not lying. You’ve felt the changes in him, but you’re fighting it because you

don’t want to accept the fact that he no longer wants you.”

Why did I feel like my soul was being ripped apart? This pain was worse than when I discovered Sebastian had slept with Thea.

Back then, I was hurt, but deep down, I knew he still loved me. I had always been his

choice. But this was different. I wasn’t his choice. Instead, he chose the woman who had

torn us apart in the first place.
