Chapter 250
Sebastian’s POV
“You’ve got to give me something, Graves… anything at this point.” I worked hard to keep my tone level, fighting the urge to explode.
This whole situation was frustrating as fuck. We still hadn’t found who was behind Thea’s attack. The uncertainty was eating away at my sanity. That bastard was still out there, walking free like he hadn’t tried to hurt the woman I loved.
Every time Thea or I left the house, worry consumed me. I couldn’t stop those crazy thoughts: What if someone hurt her while she was home alone? What if someone
attacked her when she was out?
Despite having my best guards watching over her, and Graves arranging his men to
monitor and protect her too, I still couldn’t shake the anxiety, especially given what happened last time.
“You’re not the only one frustrated with this fucking situation,” Graves snapped, his irritation clear in his voice. “But I’ve tried everything to find this guy and come up with
jack shit. I can’t even find a trace of the car they used.”
I frowned, considering his words. Normally I would’ve snapped back, but his statement
distracted me.
“That’s impossible, isn’t it? How can there be no record or evidence of the car?” I asked.
“Unless those fuckers burned it afterward.”
It was the only explanation that made sense. We’d been working closely together, but no
leads pointed in the right direction. My men couldn’t find anything, and neither could his.
The police weren’t making any headway on the case either.
“That’s what I’m thinking too,” he replied coldly.
I wasn’t a man who scared easily, but the current situation was unsettling as hell.
“So what do we do now?” he asked after a moment of silence.
