Chasing His Wolfless Luna Back (Rayna Quinn) novel Chapter 287

But then, a painful thought hit me: Sebastian knew we were already divorced, yet deliberately concealed it, letting me believe we were still together. He used my amnesia to bind me to him again. And I, like a fool, fell back into my attachment to him.

Anger surged through me. “You fucking lied to me!” I shouted at him. “We were already

divorced!”

Sebastian’s expression shifted from surprise to fear and guilt, his lips parting slightly as if

struggling to explain.

“Thea, let me explain,” his voice trembled, which was extremely rare for him. “I know I

fucked up, but I need to tell you why.”

My mind was chaos, memories and emotions tangled together: the hurtful words and actions from our past, his unconditional tenderness during my amnesia, the newly discovered mate bond, and his deception about our divorce. Everything collided wildly in my head.

I’d once desperately loved a man who hurt me, and now I discovered I still had feelings for him–even before today’s mate revelation–only this time, he seemed to love me too.

But was any of it real? Or was he just taking advantage of my vulnerability? What if he only wanted back the obedient, unconditionally loving wife he once had? The thought

made me sick.

I shook my head. “Not now, Sebastian,” my voice was surprisingly calm. “I need time, need

to be alone. I have to leave.”

I stood up, stumbling slightly. Sebastian immediately moved forward to steady me, but I instinctively pushed him away.

The force of that push far exceeded my expectations. Sebastian was thrown across the

room, slamming hard against the opposite wall with a tremendous crash. The wall

instantly cracked, forming spider–web fractures.

The room fell deathly silent. Jaxon stared at me, mouth agape, while Sebastian slid down

the wall, staring at me in shock, clearly realizing something unusual had happened.

Chapter 295

“Thea, you…”

I looked down at my hands, feeling both excited and terrified. Diana’s power was flowing through me–I felt my nails lengthen and sharpen, a very faint layer of silver fur appearing on my hands before quickly receding back to normal.

“I’m sorry,” I whispered, knowing the push wouldn’t truly harm someone as strong as Sebastian, but I was definitely scared by my own power. “I need to go. Really.”

Without waiting for their response, I grabbed the keys and fled the house, my heart pounding like thunder.

As I drove, my thoughts spun wildly, constantly analyzing Sebastian’s actions. Diana remained silent–I knew she wanted me to figure things out on my own. I couldn’t ignore the fact that he concealed our divorce, using my amnesia to pull me back into his life. It was manipulation, making me believe our marriage was still intact, making me fall for him again.

But I couldn’t help wondering, if he only wanted to control me, why was he so gentle and attentive? Why did he work so hard to rebuild our relationship, even willing to wait for me to develop feelings for him again? If he had no genuine feelings for me, he could have maintained the cold husband persona from our seven–year marriage without emotional

investment.

And I had to admit, the time we spent together was real, those warm and happy moments actually happened. I saw a very different Sebastian, one willing to change for me, to give

unconditionally.

But he still deceived me. He could have told me everything, let me choose whether I

wanted to give us another chance. Instead, he chose to make decisions for me again, just as he had for the past seven years.

I gripped the steering wheel tighter, knuckles turning white. The truth was so complicated; I didn’t know how to handle my feelings for Sebastian. But now, there were

more urgent matters.

I don’t remember how I got to the police station, but when I stood at the reception desk, I could feel everyone staring. I knew I must look terrible–hair disheveled, eyes probably red and swollen, clothes wrinkled.

“Calm down, Thea,” Diana’s voice gently intervened, guiding me. “Control your emotions.”
