I guessed my mother had already told him; otherwise, why would he call a woman he believed had taken advantage of him while drunk?
There was no way out except through the window. I grabbed a chair and smashed the glass. I pushed at the wooden boards used to block the window until they loosened. I shoved my suitcase out the window, and it fell to the ground.
Like I said, my room was in the farthest part of the house, so the commotion wouldn’t alert anyone. I climbed down slowly, carefully avoiding the broken glass. When I made it down, I breathed a sigh of relief.
I picked up my suitcase and looked down at my phone to call a taxi when I bumped into someone. I looked up and cowered when my eyes met Sebastian’s icy green ones.
“Were you really planning to run away with my pup?” he asked, his tone edged with danger.
I held up my hands, releasing the suitcase at the same time.
“I already told my mother the baby isn’t yours,” I lied, taking a step back.
I would never let my pup grow up in such a toxic environment, a place where everyone
hated his or her mother.
“You dare lie to me.” He growled low. “You were a fucking virgin. You might have fooled your mother, but I know that pup is mine.”
I was momentarily shocked that he knew I was a virgin. We were both drunk, especially
him.
“How did you know?” I asked quietly.
“There was blood on the sheets we slept on.”
I didn’t care about his answer. “It doesn’t matter. The baby could still be anyone’s. I might
have slept with countless male afterward.”
His eyes narrowed, anger storming in them.

I looked away, and that’s when I saw my taxi arriving.
