Lauren looked genuinely surprised as she said, “Mr. Coleman, you got everything right.”

Carter didn’t respond right away. Instead, he asked, “So, what’s the solution?”

“There’s someone in this house who’s incompatible with its energy,” Marcel said firmly. “Anyone whose horoscope is a Virgo or Gemini should be avoided.”

“Virgo or Gemini?” Lauren echoed. “Do we have any staff who are Virgo or Gemini?”

Devan quickly gathered all the household staff.

One by one, they listed their horoscopes. Two of them turned out to be Gemini–Devan and Alisha.

Lauren watched the two of them closely. She had always disliked how protective they were of Rhea.

She pretended to be concerned as she looked around. “You two are Geminis? Is anyone here a Virgo?”

Carter frowned.

Rhea was a Virgo.

Lauren casually asked, “By the way, what’s Rhea’s horoscope again?”

Devan knew but said nothing.

“Mr. Coleman, please continue,” said Carter.

Marcel nodded. “If there’s a Virgo around, they’re extremely incompatible with you. You’re a Taurus, and Taurus and Virgo clash. Those signs would constantly argue. As for Geminis, they can have a negative impact on the children’s health.”

Arguments?

Carter fell silent. Lately, every time he and Rhea saw each other, it ended in a fight.

Across the room, Devan and Alisha exchanged a look.

Was this so–called geomancer implying that they were the reason the kids kept getting sick?

Things at the company really had been going downhill lately, especially with Rhea helping Louie steal the psychiatric facility project in Draventh from him.

“What should I do?” Carter asked.

“If they live here, they can’t stay. If they don’t, avoid contact,” Marcel said. “If it goes on, it could ruin your

entire household and business.”

Carter narrowed his eyes when he heard that. He wondered if Marcel was implying that Rhea’s very presence in the house could hurt his business.

“Are the kids constantly getting sick and acting up lately also because of the Virgo influence?” Carter asked.

“Of course!” Marcel replied. “Incompatible energy is something that forms subtly. It gradually affects the energy of the home without you even noticing. The impact doesn’t show up in just a day or two. That’s why I suggest you keep your distance as early as possible, Mr. Jamison.”

So the peace they had before was only because the damage hadn’t had time to take root yet? 2

Devan couldn’t hold back his tongue any longer. “Mr. Jamison, if you really want to get a proper geomancy reading, we can invite a geomancer who was especially trained in a sanctuary. They can also prepare a protection charm for Ms. Arielle and Mr. Adrian.”

He thought that Marcel was completely making things up. Horoscope incompatibility certainly existed, but it was never this extreme. 1

If something wasn’t going well, it just meant that it wasn’t meant to be. It had nothing to do with anyone else.

Besides, back when Carter had nothing, Rhea had been right there with him, and he still succeeded.
