Kate had sent someone to ram Sylvia's car before to give her a warning. But instead of backing off, Sylvia only became more aggressive, making the case go public.
Kate worried that it would drag her down, too, so she stopped getting involved.
After all, Sylvia had no solid proof of what had happened back then. No matter how much noise she made, it was still just talk.
"That madwoman is ruining my life!" Connor had been on edge these past few months.
Everywhere he went, people whispered about him. He could barely go outside, let alone socialize.
And Sylvia was like a ghost haunting him. No matter where he went, she would always show up.
He had even called the police to report her for stalking, but every time they investigated, they found nothing. The cases were always closed as mere coincidences.
Could there really be that many coincidences?
He had gone out four times that month and ran into Sylvia each time. He was losing his mind!
"I don't care how you do it. You have to make Sawyer help me take care of this. If this keeps up, it'll eventually affect him!"
With that, Connor stormed off.
Kate sat in the living room, staring blankly ahead.
Everyone saw her as happy and blessed, but only she knew the secret gnawing at her.
Since their wedding, Sawyer hadn't touched her once.
At first, she thought that he might have had some kind of health issue, but his medical report came back perfectly normal.
Whenever she brought it up, he would brush it off, saying that he was just too busy with work and that she was too thin, so he didn't want to tire her out.
So Kate began eating more, trying to put on weight. However, Sawyer still showed no reaction.
Kate didn't think that this could go on. She wanted a child to make their family truly complete.
But to keep that dream alive, she needed to eliminate anything or anyone that could disrupt it.
So, Kate arranged to meet Sylvia.
