Grace took out a post-it from her bag and wrote down a string of numbers. "This is my number. Call me when you get there, and I'll arrange for a staff member to bring you in."

On the way back, Grace had gotten a call from Lydia, who had been sobbing.

"Gracie, I can't get in touch with Caleb. If you get a chance to see him, please tell him not to be impulsive. It hasn't been easy for him to get to this point, and he mustn't ruin all of that because of me."

Grace felt truly sorry for her brother. They weren't related by blood, but they had had the closest relationship out of their siblings since they had been children.

"I know," she said softly.
