"Countless existences in The Infinite Unfurling will never even manage to touch the Depth of THE Surface of Absolute Sovereignty Authority. These two before you are trying to build up the Depth of their declared Ways to at least touch THE Surface threshold, and so they battle against each other."
He paused as the combat intensified.
"If one Way triumphs over the other, the easiest thing to do is to devour the losing Way and use it as fuel for one’s own progression. And here’s where the truly interesting thing that I mentioned before becomes relevant."
Tor’s smile widened with predatory satisfaction.
"I mentioned how their Ways of existence, the Sovereignties they are trying to establish, are Lightning and Glacial. Both of these would fall under Elemental. Both of these would also fall under Conceptual. And the very action of what they are doing when they eventually consume each other, or even during the battle as they try to devour each other’s authority..."
His eyes spun like terrifying gravitational black holes that would devour absolutely everything.
"All of these actions fall under the purview of my Hunger. Both of them are hungering for victory, for growth, for Sovereignty. So in choosing and selecting a Way of existence, one has to be unfathomably careful. Because if they choose something that can be incorporated into another, broader Way..."
He left the implication hanging in the air!
Noah thought about the words of this terrifying being with intense focus. He considered his own Mana and Hunger, how Mana was so pervasive and widespread across all of existence. It was indeed a glorious Way to be following, a glorious Civilization to be enacting.
He also thought about The Depths of Sovereignty that Tor had mentioned. How countless creatures could never even touch THE Surface Depth of Absolute Sovereignty. How he himself was nowhere close to THE Surface, not even a fraction of a fraction of the way there.
And how even these two terrifying creatures at Decillions of Complexity and Purity, beings that could obliterate him with a thought, had not even touched THE Surface threshold.
The gulf between where he stood and where THE existed was almost incomprehensible.
As Noah processed all of this information, Tor continued speaking.
"The Infinite Unfurling is filled with beings like the two you see fighting in front of you. Many trying to establish their dominion and Sovereignty, clashing and devouring each other in an endless cycle of growth and consumption."
His expression became more serious.
"In this place, there are a few entities that you have to be especially careful of. I guess THE Living Elemental is a creature that managed to survive these brutal regions and establish his Sovereignty successfully. But there are other truly terrifying ones that you need to keep track of and make absolutely sure that you don’t come in front of."
He held up fingers as he counted.
"The rampant monster of THE Paradox Absolute Sovereignty is one. They delight in contradiction and impossibility, and their very presence can unmake logical existence."
He held up another finger.
"And the other goes by a few distinctions, as they are the most terrifying entity to encounter in these parts. They go by THE Titan, THE Sovereign Killer, THE Feared Sovereignty..."
His voice dropped as if one had to be careful when they said the name.
"THE Creature."
...!
BOOM!
THE Creature!
A terrifying existence that was feared across The Infinite Unfurling itself!
Noah’s eyes shone brightly as he obtained information regarding such glorious and terrible history!
BOOM!
And as he thought about all of it, his eyes continued to observe and track the terrifying battle occurring in the distance.
Raijax had recovered from being slammed into the ground and now hovered above the battlefield with wings spread wide. Lightning condensed around its form in layers upon layers of electrical authority, building to something catastrophic.
Hyorath stood below, fists raised and glowing with glacial power. Ice formed and reformed around its massive hands, creating gauntlets of frozen matter compressed to impossible densities.
The two entities launched themselves at each other simultaneously.
CRASH!
They collided in mid-air, and the shockwave from the impact obliterated everything within several light-years. Fists met claws, ice met lightning, and the very fabric of existence strained under the pressure.
They separated and clashed again, and again, and again. Each impact created explosions of conflicting authority. Lightning carved through ice, and ice shattered electrical fields.
Way against Way. Civilization against Civilization.
Raijax wrapped around Hyorath like a constricting serpent, its body channeling millions of volts directly into the ape’s form. Hyorath roared and flexed, muscles expanding as glacial authority pushed back against the electrical assault.
The ape caught the wyvern’s neck in both hands and began to squeeze. Ice formed along Raijax’s scales, frost creeping toward vital organs with the intent to freeze the creature from within.
But Raijax twisted violently, using its superior mobility to escape the grip. It slashed with razor-sharp claws wreathed in purple lightning, opening wounds across Hyorath’s chest and arms.
Blood sprayed, freezing and evaporating simultaneously in the contradictory environment.
They separated again, both wounded but neither willing to concede.
And then came the pivotal moment.

WHOOOOSH!

This consumption would increase the Depth of Raijax’s own Lightning Sovereignty, pushing it closer toward THE Surface Depth of Absolute Sovereignty that it hungered for!
"This is existence," he said calmly. "Existence is glorious. Existence is unpredictable."
"And existence is...brutal."
CHOMP!
