Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse novel Chapter 4647

Chapter 4647: THE Farewell of Ginnungagap II

Who didn’t love opening gifts?

Ever since entering dungeons on the Blue Planet and opening treasure chests, obtaining the Concept of Loot and gaining access to Loot Crates, Loot Caches, and other wondrous forms of treasure, Noah felt giddy whenever opening any box of rewards.

The anticipation of what might be inside never got old.

The possibility of something extraordinary always made his heart race just a little faster.

And this particular gift was uniquely special as it stemmed from THE Primeval Titan, Ul’moreth himself!

The one who’d taught him The First Tongue.

The one who’d sacrificed his Way of Primordial Continuity to save Noah from THE Primordial Chaos’ grasp.

Obsidian-gold light shone from the top of this chest as Noah placed his Primus Mana into it.

And shockingly, the box began to react with building radiance.

The light intensified as complex Weavings activated across its surface.

Gradually, an illusory obsidian-gold image began to emerge.

The form solidified into the towering figure of THE Primeval Titan himself, Ul’moreth!

WAA!

Eight hundred meters tall even in this manifestation, his body constructed from living hairy stone and pulsing with ancient power.

His eyes glowed with the same warm intensity Noah remembered.

Noah looked at him with shining eyes as this manifestation looked back and smiled sadly.

The expression held both pride and regret.

I wish I could have given you the rest of the lessons in person, but... circumstances must have proven to be impossible, so here we are.

The manifestation’s voice resonated in The First Tongue directly, each word a pulse of structured Mana.

I talked with you a great deal about Phonemes and a bit about Logos during our brief time together, but I didn’t really get a chance to delve into Philology. I taught you the letters and the words of The First Tongue, but I didn’t teach you the sentences. I didn’t teach you the grammar that allows those sentences to reshape Existence itself.

Ul’moreth’s manifestation raised one massive hand as blue-gold light began gathering around it.

Let me explain what Philology truly is. You’ve learned the eighteen Core Phonemes. You’ve formed Logos by combining those Phonemes with intent. But Philology... Philology is the deepest grammatical structure that governs how Logos themselves form.

The manifestation began pacing as if this were still a classroom lesson.

Think of it this way. Phonemes are individual letters. Logos are words formed from those letters. But Philology...Philology is the syntax. The underlying rules that determine what is possible within The First Tongue. Not individual words, but the fundamental structure that allows words to exist and have meaning.

Noah listened with absolute focus as his teacher continued.

I won’t ramble on too much but...when you form a Logos, you combine Phonemes in a specific order with specific intent. But the order matters tremendously. The same Phonemes arranged differently create entirely different effects. This is syntax. The relationship between the Phonemes determines the ultimate meaning.

Ul’moreth manifested several Phonemes in the air.

Fire, Water, and Beginning floated before Noah’s vision.

Watch closely. If I arrange these as: Beginning, Fire, Water...

The meaning is: ’What begins as fire becomes water.’ A transformation from one state to another.

But if I arrange them as: Fire, Beginning, Water...

Now the meaning is: ’Fire initiates water’s beginning.’ The causal relationship has completely reversed. Same components, entirely different effect. This is the power of syntax.

Logos can also be conjugated to change their properties. You can modify tense to make effects occur in past, present, or future. You can adjust intensity to make them weak or devastatingly strong. You can alter scope to make them affect a single target or the entire scope of Existence.

BOOM!

And just as words combine into sentences, Logos can combine into compound structures. Multiple Logos woven together create complex ’sentences’ that achieve sophisticated effects impossible with single words alone.

What you need to understand is that each Sovereignty you’ve encountered - Storm, Hunger, Order, Chaos - these are essentially dialects of The First Tongue. Specialized vocabularies optimized for specific expressions but inherently limited in versatility. You...someone like you and what you stand for as master of The First Tongue...can speak all dialects fluently and even create new ones.
