Shenghuovi looked on as the silver legion eerily fell to the ground. She frowned for a moment before her eyes turned a strange shade of white. ’Such an abomination to life,’ she thought. ’Only humans would create such a vile thing.’ Such a creation could wipe out all life in entire Chaos Worlds with little to no effort and in a short period.
’I wondered what ji’er is doing; she’s probably also fuming about such an act of defiance against the natural order of life itself,’ Shenghuovi thought. They used to be close, but since their imprisonment, Siwangji has rarely shown up to talk with her, and when she does, she seems worried and distracted. The worst part is that the latter refused to allow Shenghuovi to share her burden.
Shenghuovi shook her head to remove these thoughts from her head. The experience in that prison was horrible. At first, their brothers and sisters banded together to find an escape route, but it didn’t take long before they turned on each other. The worst part is their big brother — Hundunxi — not only did he not stop it, but he secretly encouraged it. As such, Shenghuovi does not like to dwell on it.
’The Infinite Trichiliocosm,’ Shenghuovi thought. Ever since that meeting in which Maitreya revealed the truth, she’s been thinking about it. During her time, there was no alternate timelines, only one. Time was first controlled by their mother, and once he grew up, their brother — Shijuange — eventually took over. However, even then, time was almost meaningless to all of them.
’It’s a brilliant move by Mother to expand the world to such a grand scale, and more importantly, create countless possibilities for the Chaos Universe,’ Shenghuovi thought. ’But it seems larger also means it is harder to control.’ The existence of the Divine Timeline and the Highest Sovereign was proof that Grand Dao had long lost complete control of the Chaos Universe.
’Knowing Brother Shijuange, he’ll probably try to regain control of the [River of Time], which means he’ll be in direct competition with the Time Cardinal,’ Shenghuovi analyzed. She didn’t know how things would turn out, but that was not her primary concern.
’The Infinite Trichiliocosm is full of endless resources and opportunities, making it the best choice to return to my peak as soon as possible. However, I’m worried about how it will influence me.’ All the humans claimed there is a sense of unease whenever they travel to other timelines, but would it be the same for Chaos Demon Gods? Or maybe it will be worse since they predated the thing. There is even the possibility that Grand Dao barred them from traveling to other timelines.
’The humans also made another excellent point,’ Shenghuovi continued. ’There is the possibility that the Divine Timeline may be able to track down people who have left the Primordial Timeline, so I’ll need to be extra prepared.’ It’s in her best interest to act extra carefully to prevent any issues. Shenghuovi sighed. In times like this, she hoped she had her brother’s Darkness or Destiny Origin to better hide her tracks.
Heavenly Art Division:
"You look like a volcano about to erupt," Xu Shi said.
"Who is it that created such a vile, disgusting, and abhorrent thing?" Siwangji asked, almost exploding.
"Probably Wang Wei," Xu Shi said.
"And here I was praising you humans for your ingenuity. If this is what you use it for, you’re simply wasting the gift that Mother has granted you."
"You’re overestimating," Xu Shi sighed. "Every day, millions of worlds are destroyed. All kinds of races created terrible poisons, curses, war machines, and so on to kill as many people as possible. This particular plague is only unique because of its undetectability."
"This is why this world needs our race to keep the peace and balance. If we were in charge, none of this would have happened."
"What a joke," Xu Shi sneered.
"Am I wrong?"
"From little I know about your race, I can tell you’re not some kind of peace-loving species. You have the same emotions as humans, just masked by your innate arrogance. If you guys were not imprisoned, you would have started committing atrocities the moment the human race started showing that we could grow to the same level as you.
"In fact, the trajectory of your race would have been just a better version of the Fiendgod Race."
"How dare you compare us to those replacements?" Siwangji countered.
"Remind me again why you needed to be replaced?"
The Death Chaos Demon God was momentarily speechless. "You can’t blame us for the sin of one member. Hundunxi had acted selfishly."
"Didn’t you just blame the entire human race based on Wang Wei’s actions? Plus, isn’t Hundunxi supposed to represent the best you have to offer? Well, maybe it’s Pangu, but that’s not a good answer as well."
"It’s pointless to argue with you, so let’s change the subject," Siwangji stated. "Now that you’re a Peak Paragon, your next step should be to start optimizing your soul. You should be preparing to buy something to help you master one of the Ultimate Skills, correct?"
"Yes, and?"
"Give me your merit, and I preach to you."
