Chapter 1697: The Escape Plan: The First Step

As such, it seems that it’s inevitable for the unification to occur. Luckily, there is still a way to stop it: eradicate one of the Wang Clans before a Saint is born.

Ye Guang has little involvement or influence with the other Wang Clan, but there is still a chance with the one in his union. As long as he can convince the Xiao Clan to work with him, there is still a chance. ’Normally, that old bastard would never work with me because I’m a Celestial Fox, but the secrets of Wang Guo’s new bloodline are too tempting,’ Ye Guang sneered. The Myriad Clan Union claimed it’s a faction for all clans and races with a unique bloodline, but anyone with discerning eyes can see that humans run it while everybody else is treated as second-class citizens.

Ye Guang exhaled to calm down his excitement. There are still close to 2000 yuan epochs before the Saint leaves this timeline. Based on what she does before her departure and who she picks to accompany her, the subsequent chaos can be minimized. Yes, minimized — not stopped. Ye Guang knew that Saint should have realized that the internal issues were major problems waiting to explode, and there is no better sign for this than this war.

If they had to rely on their tactics and foundation from the Ultimate Taboo, they would have collapsed long ago.

Furthermore, they are currently facing only three commanders of the Infinite Divine Court. Who knows how many commanders, how many troops, how many war weapons, how many trump cards, the Divine Timeline has? The world’s internal problems have not been weaponized yet because the Divine Court lacks the necessary information due to the [History Lock]. But that will not last long. So, whether Maitreya wants it or not, those issues must be addressed before everybody can truly unite to address the current situation.
