Suddenly, several of the men who were playing pool started chatting. A familiar name drifted over, clearly audible amid their laughter.
"Do you guys still remember that fat chick from the class next door? I just found out my cousin married her sister. What a small world."
"Who?" one man asked as he lined up his shot.
Another said, "Jane Carlson. You know, the one whose boobs bounced around like crazy whenever we had PE."
"Oh, her."
Then the group laughed knowingly.
"Say what you want, but those boobs were huge. I remember our classes had joint PE lessons back then, and she was always at the back whenever we ran. She had fair skin, but I honestly forgot what her face looked like."
"I remember Lucas even asked her out once outside of school. That dude sure had some heavy tastes to like that kind of woman…"
"And your cousin married her sister? Isn't that fate? You're single now, right, Sean? You should give it a try."
"Forget it, she's so fat. But then again, it's not like it's impossible…" Sean Mullen's voice trailed off, and the men exchanged sleazy grins.
Sebastian clenched his glass tightly. His eyes grew colder by the second as they gleamed with a piercing chill.
He turned around and walked toward the pool table. Each step he took was steady and purposeful.
Everything happened in an instant. First came a shout of shock and agony.
In the lively room, the sound was jarring and sudden. It was eerie and even horrifying.
"Sebastian, calm down! Calm down!"
Everyone else in the room was dead silent. A few women sat frozen on the sofa, pale from shock. They glanced at one another but didn't dare to utter a single word.
Even Chandler and the others were stunned. He couldn't figure out what Sean had done to offend Sebastian.
Chandler finally spoke up cautiously, "Mr. Grant, we're all schoolmates here. If Sean did anything that upset you, please don't take it to heart…"
"That's right!" another man added quickly, finally realizing what might have triggered the outburst. It must have been about that fat girl from Class C they had just been mocking. Could it really be because of that?
But how would the heir of the Grant family be connected to her?
There was no time to figure it out now. He stammered with a pale expression, "We were just speaking nonsense. It was just drunk talk."
