Blake never expected that Kloudius could only hold out for a moment before getting completely killed by Severin. Shivers ran down his spine and goosebumps riddled his entire body the moment he felt the deathly aura emanating from the Flameless Pinnacle.
He quickly snapped out of his shock, and held the golden halberd in his hand horizontally. He then recklessly poured his spiritual energy into it, causing the spiritual treasure to emit a formidable killing aura, so much so, it almost became solidified.
After doing all that, Blake forcefully threw the golden halberd in his hand towards the approaching Flameless Pinnacle. Immediately after, he turned around and tried to escape.
Severin scoffed coldly when he saw that. He then taunted, "Do you think you can escape?"
Severin had already decided not to let Blake get away the moment he decided to attack him. After all, there was a deep-seated animosity between them after their last battle.
Moreover, Severin could not let Blake go because of the discovery of the Flamegold. Once news of the spiritual item spread, it would undoubtedly attract the attention of saintmen and divine heirs. Therefore, under no circumstances would Severin let Blake escape.
Seeing Blake attempting to use a spiritual treasure to block him and seize the opportunity to flee, the surging swordwill on Severin's body swept through the void and instantly permeated the entire ancient temple.
In the next instant, the Scarletsky Sword in his hand—which was emanating a scorching flame aura—transformed into a sun hanging in the air. Brilliant immortal light erupted from it as it slashed out a terrifying sword beam.
With a violent explosion, the sword beam was only momentarily obstructed before it completely shattered the spiritual treasure charm set up by Blake. Following that, it swiftly struck Blake in mid-air with undiminished force.
"No!!"
The sword beam penetrated his body, tearing him into countless fragments in an instant. In the end, he exploded into a vast cloud of blood. His miserable and resentful scream just before his death echoed in the starry sky just. Not far away, several injured cultivators from the Northsea barbaric Clan wore expressions of despair, their faces ashened with grief.
They never imagined that Kloudius and Blake would be slain by Severin so easily. Already wounded, their chances of surviving seemed almost impossible.
