The Oculus Blade seemed to share Severin's joy by vibrating in response.
All of a sudden, the blazing sword beam that sliced through the sky produced a radiance that spanned several thousand miles. The overbearing pressure bore down on many of the Grandiuno Sect disciples, leaving them gasping for breath.
Witnessing the creation of a level-five protective divine weapon brought much joy to Severin.
The Oculus Blade was previously nothing more than a level-one protective divine weapon. Yet, Severin was already able to rely on his formidable combat prowess and leverage on the support conferred by the protective divine weapon to kill a level eight supreme paragon, Mohsin. Though his own skills played a huge role in that success, much of the credit belonged to the Oculus Blade.
Severin felt a terrifying power coursing through him as he wielded the level-five protective divine weapon. His spiritual energy and his blood seemed to have been set ablaze, and he was confident of effortlessly dealing with practitioners who were level five supreme paragons or lower. Destroying the world would probably be much easier too, and he believed he could even go toe-to-toe against a level nine supreme paragon!
After taking a deep breath, Severin stowed the reforged Oculus Blade for safekeeping. He swiftly retrieved several pills from his spatial ring and promptly consumed them to restore his spiritual energy.
Severin then channeled his divine senses within him to do a survey of his inner world. Bitterness welled within him as he gazed upon the carnage. While he had survived the Nine Heavens Divine Lightning to protect the Oculus Blade, it had drained all the mana from his inner world. Nevertheless, he found some solace in the Oculus Blade's ascension to becoming a level-five protective divine weapon.
Severin gradually descended back to Pearl Light Isle, where his mana was slowly replenished. Upon finally setting his foot down, Oskar, who had already reached the island, awaited him.
Severin nodded with a smile. "I was just lucky to have been given two pieces of divine gold back at Greatflare and Northsea. Without them, I wouldn't have been able to forge something like this."
Oskar was stunned by Severin's revelation and found it perplexing that those major forces had been so willing to part with their divine gold. He was incredibly happy for Severin, as he recognized that Severin's journey would be made a little smoother with the presence of the level-five protective divine weapon.
After exchanging pleasantries, Oskar bid farewell so Severin could return to his residence in Pearl Light Isle. Severin spoke with Diane and his wives for a brief moment before promptly heading to his training room.
