"Awww... how touching." A wicked smile unfurled across Horra's wrinkled face. "I shall do as you wish and let you join the other souls in my Thousand-Soul Flag!"
He waved his hand swiftly and confused the dark, ominous energy of the Thousand-Soul Flag into his hand. He then waved the flag ever so gently, and the weapon erupted with a terrifying suction force. Even the Rules of Heaven and Earth were unable to withstand the force and ended up being ripped out of the collapsing void.
Severin broke out in a cold sweat upon witnessing that scene. His level five supreme paragon strength surged rapidly in his body, and he mobilized it to resist the suction force. As much as he tried to resist, he still felt that the space around his body was rapidly being sucked toward Horra's direction.
Severin's eyes became bloodshot. He waved the Oculus Blade in his hand wildly and unleashed the rule of swordsmanship in a frantic manner. The sword beam split open the space surrounding Severin as he advanced forward.
Taking advantage of that opportunity, Severin roared loudly, causing the energy and blood in his body to heat up in smoke. He struggled out of the frozen space-time by simply relying on the strength of his physical form. He soon stepped out of that invisible quagmire and successfully distanced himself from Horra.
Horra was a little surprised when he saw that Severin could actually break free from the control that he wielded over space. The strength of a half-immortal was beyond the imagination of a level five supreme paragon.
Horra wasted no time in launching a second attack.
He waved the small triangular flag in his hand, and the laws of heaven and earth soon began to crumble. Everything around them collapsed like a scene from the end of the world. With another wave, the Thousand-Soul Flag instantly turned into a small mountain. Countless black streams of malevolent energy hung down, and the ground below those streams caved in.
Severin had little time to react. In an instant, a skeleton soldier wearing black armor had attacked him with a punch. The space around Severin collapsed, and the river of time seemed to have been affected by that attack. The skeleton soldier's aura, which rivalled a level nine supreme paragon, shot up into the sky.
Severin winced in agony as he felt a sharp pain in his chest. The feeling was similar to an iron nail piercing through his skin and hammered into his bone marrow. He tasted a metallic sweetness and immediately vomited blood.
"Ack!" Severin endured the severe pain in his chest and waved the Oculus Blade, whose power was formidable enough to take out the skeleton.
Seizing that brief moment of respite, Severin used his divine senses to check his injury. As expected, the skeleton's white bone fingertips somehow had the ability to break through his bodily defenses and pierced right into his flesh.
