"ADRIAN!" Horra roared angrily. His eyes were bloodshot, and his murderous aura was so strong that it almost seemed to manifest in physical form. It was bad enough that Severin's pagoda had kept him stifled. Having the same weapon blast him out of the void only to have his arm cut off by Adrian made it worse.
Since Adrian's strength as a half-immortal was similar to Horra's, the latter managed to suppress the injury before immediately employing rules to regenerate the severed limb. Even so, his aura was much weaker than before.
Knowing that he was by no means Adrian's opponent, he would be facing a very dire prospect if he continued the fight. Horra glared at Severin with angrily and turned around begrudgingly. He raised his hand and cleaved the void apart, creating a passage for his departure.
That did not sit well with Severin, who sneered as his face was covered in blood. 'Do you take me for a pushover?'
A grudge, if left unresolved, would fester for sure. If Horra was allowed to leave, then Severin would have to spend his days worrying if he would be targeted again. He bit the tip of his tongue one more and spat another mouthful of blood on the pagoda. In an instant, the Green Emperor's Pagoda burst into green light. Several laws quickly condensed and formed on the top of the pagoda, turning into a chain of order that roared through the air at lightning speed.
Severin did not forget that there was another half-immortal next to him, so he raised his hand and tossed the Oculus Blade to Adrian with the help of mana. "Master, use this sword!"
The Oculus Blade was cold to the touch, and the myriad of rules intertwining on it made Adrian feel like he was holding a solemn mountain.
"This treasure is amazing!" Adrian marveled briefly at the aura of the level-five protective divine weapon. He looked at the anxious Severin and felt compelled to wonder how Severin managed to give it an upgrade in less than two months, and by three levels too!
The majestic power of that divine chain shattered the void within a several-thousand-mile radius. Elements, along with chaotic energy and spatial rifts, spurted out from the void. The ground below could not withstand that huge force and sank several dozen feet below. Hot magma shot into the sky like water columns, reaching almost a thousand feet high.
Horra wiped away the cold sweat on his forehead, still reeling from the fear. He was thankful that he had been able to react quickly enough. The pagoda had already left him wounded, and the rules it produced still remained in the wound. His broken arm thus could not be healed and greatly affected his strength.
When Adrian arrived and sliced off his arm without mercy, Horra felt that he had been received a very severe blow. Although he had relied on his powerful half-immortal physique to regenerate the severed limbs, the aura on his body had nevertheless taken a hit.
Another strike by the divine chain of order would probably skin him alive, if not kill him directly.
