After a moment of stunned silence, Adrian swiftly averted his gaze and focused on his recuperative efforts.
Back inside the Green Emperor's Pagoda, Severin's solar spirit sat cross-legged as it radiated resplendently like a deity emerging from primordial chaos. Surrounding his body was a transparent space about ten feet high that protected him like an eggshell. Within that translucent enclosure, time and space intertwined, creating a stable continuum. The aura emanating from Severin grew increasingly strong, accompanied by the emergence of countless divine chains of order.
Upon observing that, the Green Emperor could not help but sigh. "This is excellent news. Bleurealm's celestial domain is saved!"
He laughed heartily, and the residual essence of the Green Emperor grew fainter and fainter as it disappeared into thin air. His remnant soul could have persisted for several days upon awakening, but by activating the Green Emperor's Pagoda to absorb the spiritual energy of the outside world, its final reservoir of power was depleted and the remaining essence dissipated prematurely. That turn of events happened without Severin's knowledge, as he was still busy contemplating the river of time.
Several days later, the transparent space surrounding Severin expanded and evolved into an impregnable realm. His aura intensified further, and golden light began to blossom in his inner world as manifestations of golden lotuses. His inner world expanded fervently in all directions, cleaving through chaotic energy which eventually served as nourishment for his growth. From ten thousand miles, to eleven thousand, to twelve thousand, and more, his inner expanse finally extended until it reached a staggering 150,000 miles.
The Rules of Heaven and Earth gained newfound potency too.
With training came rest, and Severin slowly opened his eyes. He searched for the Green Emperor, intending to thank his predecessor for the help. However, he found no trace of the Green Emperor despite scouring through the Green Emperor's Pagoda with his divine senses. He could not help but feel a sinking feeling in as he came to the realization that the Green Emperor had already disappeared.
As his solar spirit returned to the upper energy core, Severin contemplated the vastness of his inner world and the river of time within it. With a heavy heart, he muttered, "Fret not, Green Emperor. I will avenge your enemies once I finally attain immortality."
