Life After Prison by Silencieux novel Chapter 2910

Egbert was left reeling in shock. Ordinarily, a blow from the awl would incapacitate a half-immortal, especially if it struck a vital area like the head. Their primal spirit would be torn and they would be sent plummeting to the ground. However, the abomination before him survived. Worse still, it seemed to be increasing in strength.

"What is this thing?" Egbert stammered as horror was etched across his face.

Fannerly's smile twisted into a cold sneer. "Does that scare you now, old man?" he taunted.

Ianzik, who stood beside Fannerly on the airship, scoffed. "This is a puppet created by the Ancestora. What chance do you have against it, old fool? We might consider sparing you if you surrender right now and accept the Ancestora's offer," Ianzik threatened. "Resist, and you'll become another puppet!"

Each revelation was even more shocking than the last. With centuries of knowledge as a half-immortal, he had swiftly deduced that the Ancestora had broken free from the seal. Meanwhile, the puppet before him that bore a resemblance to Xavier was likely crafted from Xavier's remains.

With a formidable individual such a Xavier succumbing to the Ancestora, a chill swept through Egbert's being as he was gripped by fear. However, the notion of surrendering to the Ancestora was simply unacceptable for him. The Kains' ancestors had close ties with the Green Emperor during the past, and thus the Ancestora was their natural foe. Egbert knew that surrender would prove futile.

"Finally! I'm a level nine supreme paragon!" Severin rejoiced. He started off as a lowly practitioner when he first came to the Bleurealm, and it took him a few years to reach the formidable stature he had worked so hard to achieve. At long last, he felt that he had finally gained some strength to protect himself.

With a clench of his fist, his fair skin began to glow with a divine light. Powers strong enough to level mountains and part seas surged unabated within him. Severin marveled at his newfound strength and said, "My cells have all been turned into cell universes and my inner world had reached the one-million-mile mark. All that remains to be done is to commit to a path, perfect my physique and mana, and ascend to immortality!"

Unfortunately, his jubilation was short-lived as the jade plaque at his waist vibrated. Amethyst had conveyed an urgent message to him. "Eastplain is under threat. The Ancestora has risen again. Come to the main hall right away!"
