Life After Prison by Silencieux novel Chapter 2913

Severin could not help but smile bitterly to himself. The Ancestora's true form had defied the former Green Emperor's attempts at suppression, which could only be achieved via containment in a forbidden area for epochs. Yet, those individuals were entertaining the idea of exploiting the Ancestora's emergence.

Furthermore, Severin could not shake the feeling that things were not as they seemed. Egbert's account of his demise at the hands of a corpse puppet, rather than the Ancestora itself, sent shivers down his spine.

Just as he was about to caution Abner against underestimating the enemy, the discussion regarding an opportunity to achieve immortality had attracted everyone's attention.

Lumino, the Gildons' half-immortal, stroked his beard thoughtfully. "You may be right. I'm inclined to believe that the Ancestora's strength hasn't recovered to its fullest after breaking free from the seal. If we join forces, we may stand a chance against them."

Jaxon, the Grand Priest of Northsea, interjected solemnly, "We must proceed with caution. Egbert's remnant soul has said that a single corpse puppet was able to wreak havoc across Thundlight, not to mention the Gahhrs and the Kains in Eastplain. The latter two families would have had two half-immortals who have reached perfection in their attainment. Not even a true immortal could kill them."

Abner's talk about becoming an immortal did not go to Jaxon's head. He maintained a stoic and solemn expression, knowing that negligence would result in everyone's demise. Underestimating the enemy would almost certainly be fatal. As their equal, his words commanded the utmost respect and attention.

At this point, their arrogance had been put into place, and they set aside their own agendas before discussing their strategy.

"In my view, relocating the Padillas and Estradas to Midland would ensure their safety. It would allow us to come to your aid at the first sign of danger."

It took two hours for them to come to a consensus. The Padillas and the Estradas would relocate their clans from Eastplain to Greatflare to avoid suffering the same fate as the Kains.

Meanwhile, each faction—be it Northsea's Barbarics, the Grandiuno Sacred Land, the Jade Pond Sacred Land, or Greatflare—would form a patrol guard consisting of level nine supreme paragons and several royal paragons. They would be the first to respond to distress signals in the event of an attack. Though level nine supreme paragons were still no match for the corpse puppet Xavier, their presence could buy time until reinforcements arrived to quell the threat.

However, Severin could not help but feel a sense of unease at the discussions. The outcome seemed to be no different from before the discussions were held. It seemed remiss to rely solely on the joined forces of several half-immortals to thwart the corpse puppets and the Ancestoras.

Severin shook his head discreetly and felt that everyone was being dangerously complacent. Yet he knew that voicing his concerns amid the fervor of their pursuit of immortality would be futile, as he was in no position to be giving them advice. He could only watch silently as the group concluded their deliberations and departed one by one.
