Half a day later, Severin sat in the Grand Preceptor's Throne in the sacred land's main hall while Adrian and the other true immortals gathered below. They glanced up at Severin, whose gaze swept across the Longevity Alliance before saying slowly, "The royal celestials' summoning order indicates that tension at the border sea is starting to grow. I intend to bring along several true immortals to accompany me to the border. The Longevity Alliance will be in your care now, master."
Adrian nodded gravely and said, "Rest assured, Severin. As long as I am here, the Longevity Alliance will remain steadfast!"
Severin had planned to enlist the aid of his wives in his journey to the border sea, along with Carson, Amethyst, and Jaxon. That would leave Adrian to safeguard the alliance, and Adrian would be entrusted with the Green Emperor's Pagoda.
Although Adrian was a true immortal, his rise to immortality happened fairly recently and he had yet to refine his own immortal weapon. Thus, his strength was relatively lower compared to some of the more established true immortals in the Celestial Realm.
Fortunately, all the major forces in the Celestial Realm and the Nine Heavens Ten Lands had received orders from the royal celestials, so it was highly likely that the longevity alliance would remain safe at least until the Devil Realm merged with the Celestial Realm. After all, most of the major forces would be preoccupied with the ongoing battle at the border in the immediate future.
The assurance allowed Severin to confidently entrust the Longevity Alliance to his Master, Adrian.
With a gentle wave of his hand, Severin summoned the Green Emperor's Pagoda, enveloped in a rich green light, and handed it over to Adrian's custody. Additionally, he produced several golden pills that emitted a fragrant pill aroma and rules. He offered them and said, "I'll leave the Green Emperor's Pagoda in your care as a last line of defense for the sect. Here are some additional pills that I crafted. You may reward these to any member of the alliance who manages to become a half immortal."
"Haha! Don't worry, Severin." Adrian laughed heartily, his confidence soaring with the acquisition of the Green Emperor Pagoda.
As his words faded, several rainbow-hued beams soared from the ground and landed beside him in an instant. Carson brandished his Enchanted Sword with an excited gaze. "The Realm Gate is where the Celestial Realm's finest practitioners gather. I wonder just how formidable those royal celestials are."
Willette's eyes sparked like a glow of lightning and scoffed, "Finest, you say? No other practitioner can compare to Severin's ability, in my opinion."
Echoing the sentiment, Jaxon said, "We were revered ancestors of Bleurealm, and there was a time in our youth when we were hailed as heavenly talents. Yet, the scarce spiritual energy and rarity of treasures of our homeland pale in comparison to the Celestial Realm. Had we been born here, perhaps our names would be etched on that True Dragon Board."
Jaxon's lament mirrored his own struggles—he was one a prodigy within Bleurealm, but his path to half-immortality remained elusive for millennia.
