Life After Prison by Silencieux novel Chapter 3061

Inside the cave, a disheveled and sloven old man wearing a white robe was gleefully counting the trophies within his spatial ring. Those trophies had all been obtained after his victory over a celestial lord on the border sea's battlefield. At that moment, a token-shaped mysterious light penetrated the cave's restrictions and appeared in front of the old man.

"Open the door, old man," the voice echoed.

It had been ages since the old wacko heard anyone call him that. He was stunned at first, but anger soon filled his face as he wondered who could have been so audacious as to speak to him in such a manner.

As he was about to have an aneurysm, he felt that the that the voice in the token was somehow very familiar, as if he had heard it somewhere before. All of a sudden, the old wacko recalled the disciple he had once accepted on Earth—a young man named Severin Feuillet!

After coming back to his senses, he stood up in a face full of disbelief and extended his divine senses beyond his abode. Upon seeing the clear figure standing outside, the old wacko exclaimed with a smile, "Severin! It's you?! I just knew that only someone familiar would address me like that."

Hartberg strode up to Severin and glanced at the latter in surprise. Only then did he realize that Severin was exuding the aura of a quasi-royal celestial!

"You've made a breakthrough to quasi-royal celestial?" Hartberg asked in surprise.

Severin looked at the old wacko and could not resist a smile. "Aren't you a quasi-royal celestial yourself?" He was almost as surprised as the old wacko.

When Severin first entered the Bleurealm a few years ago, he soon found out from the Starry Sky Battlespace that the old wacko had become an immortal and specifically placed a drop of true immortal essence and blood there, ostensible after having planned for such a day to come.

The old wacko rubbed his nose and said with a smile, "You're my apprentice. Who else would it be if it isn't you?"

His apparent disinclination to reveal the truth prompted Severin to avoid asking any further questions. He had a vague feeling that the old wacko must have kept some secrets from him, so he immediately changed the subject and asked about the situation in the border sea.

"By the way, the royal celestials have ordered all the prodigies from major forces and families across the Nine Heavens Ten Lands to lend their aid. You've been staying in the border sea for quite a long time now, so do you know what's happening around here?"

After some moments of silence, Hartberg raised his hand to set up a barrier around the two of them and said slowly, "The extraterrestrials entrenched in the Devil Realm have recently mobilized their troops, and even the quasi-royal celestials have been sent to deal with them. I'm afraid it won’t be long before their royal celestials cross the border sea and enter the Celestial Realm. It would spell doom for the Celestial Realm! I also heard that a heavenly heart imprint will appear near the border sea, and that is the main reason why the royal celestials have issued the summons."
