Sympathy stirred among the Celestial Realm's practitioners as they watched Severin pant heavily and helplessly while still oozing blood from the wounds inflicted by the Gyddur's clone.
However, they also knew that Gyddur's clone could only enter the border sea after a tacit approval from Lawrence and the other royal celestials. It could not have been done without their consent. They felt that Severin's fate was already sealed when the Gyddur sent a clone in. After all, no one could withstand the might of a royal celestial, and Severin was no exception despite being a quasi-royal celestial.
Though Gyddur's past self merely matched the power of a quasi-royal celestial, he could still wield the formidable techniques of a full-fledged royal celestial, notably the Almizali Art—one of the 36 top divine techniques that was capable of upending worlds and eradicating all in its wake. Even though Severin was undefeatable by most quasi-royal celestials, he found himself outmatched when faced with Gyddur's prowess. The realization was beginning to make him feel utterly helpless.
Across the border sea, extraterrestrial practitioners smirked at Severin's plight and relished his disadvantage.
"A quasi-royal celestial's strength still pales in comparison to a royal celestial. It's a futile endeavor," remarked one with a sardonic grin.
Another chimed in and said, "He who dared slay Segerne must now face the consequences."
"He doesn't stand a chance against our royal celestial."
"Hehe, after he's dead, we'll continue to rub salt in the wounds of those in the Celestial Realm!"
"You dare flaunt your feeble skills before us?" he sneered, but his expression soon froze in horror. The space surrounding him seemed to constrict, compressing space and time. It became as hard as steel, and the once-fluid essence of reality solidified to render even the immutable laws of the great path impotent against its implacable grip.
Then, another surge of time coursed through Gyddur's being, severing his connection to the outside world.
Trapped within that snare, Gyddur struggled against the invisible bond, yet his every effort to resist was thwarted by the relentless roar of the paths. Severin, as the sole master of that domain, would not grant him any reprieve.
