Rebecca pulled up outside Southquay Villa to see there was already a row of cars there. She looked at the empty entrance, wondering where Morgan was.
Hadn’t he said he’d prepared a surprise? Why wasn’t he even at the door to welcome her now that she was divorced and free?
Feeling confused, she pushed open the door to the abnormally silent villa. The doors swung open with a thud, and a light-hearted piano melody immediately rang out.
The lights were suddenly flipped on in the dark living room, revealing the scene that had been hidden in the darkness.
Pink and white roses lined the living room, filling it with their faint fragrance. Countless familiar or unknown people smiled at her as they pushed a towering castle-shaped cake into the room.
Morgan wore a tuxedo as he sat before the piano. His handsome face was focused as his fingers flew over the piano keys, seamlessly playing a tune.
Rebecca’s heart skipped several beats when she saw this dreamlike scene from the door. She felt like she’d been enveloped in surreality as she subconsciously headed toward the piano.
She took step after step, finally stopping by the piano as Morgan played the last note. He looped up at her with bright eyes and whipped out a bouquet of roses like magic, holding them before her. “Thank you for choosing me, Becks. Thank you for coming to my side.”
The guests erupted into cheers as soon as he finished uttering the words.
“Congratulations on the divorce, Becks!”
“Congratulations on hitting the jackpot with this one, Becks!”
Rebecca, fresh out of a divorce, wasn’t used to things being so noisy and excited. She pressed her lips together as a trace of embarrassment flashed in her eyes.
Morgan smiles when he saw her ears had turned red. He got up and pulled her into his arms.
