Living With My Lady Boss by Blue Silver novel Chapter 1665

However, Wilbur felt like there was something off about the young man who was frantically picking up the fruit that had been knocked off his cart.

Wilbur had Betty park the car by the side of the road, and the three of them got out to help the young man pick up the fruits on the ground.

Aside from that, Wilbur was also trying to see just who was behind trying to stop the truck in such a suspicious way.

He came up to the young man looking nothing but innocent, even passing him the fruits that he had picked up.

The young man took the fruit from Wilbur, glancing at him before saying, "Sir, someone told me to tell you that all you have to do is take Derkley and Jonas out, and I'll give you some clues about the two girls! Of course, you could just kill me, but you'd be losing all news about the two girls after that, and you'll never be able to find them."

Wilbur smirked coldly. "Are you threatening me? Do you think I really wouldn't kill you?"

The young man's expression remained calm at the threat. "I'm just a messenger, sir. I'm not capable of threatening you, nor am I trying to do it. Besides, how would a disease-riddled patient like me whose death is inevitable even be of any threat to you?"

There seemed to be an underlying message in the young man's words that Wilbur had spotted.

Wilbur understood then that someone was trying to control him by using Lacey and Eliana as blackmail, using him to kill someone else.

Upon seeing the photos and the date on them, Wilbur did not show any rage in the slightest.

Instead, he looked at the young man calmly. "I've never liked being used for violence. If you bring me the people I'm after and ask for me to kill a few evil bastards in payment, I'd be more than happy to oblige. However, you've chosen to blackmail me in a way that I detest the most! Go back and tell the people you're working for that they should start praying that I don't find them, or I'll be sure to make them regret it. Of course, I'm also open to listening to them if they wish to speak to me in a different method. You have one day."
